This is blood for blood and by the gallon. These are the old days, the bad days, the all-or-nothing days. They're back! There's no choice left. And I'm ready for war.

The history of these days will be written in blood. By crushing the armies of our enemy, by seizing the weapons they thought to turn against us, we were fighting for our very existence. But if there are those who would deny us peace; refuse us our rightful place in the universe, then we will unleash such terrible vengeance that generations yet unborn will cry out in anguish!

The press release says, "Exhilarating combat expands upon the franchise's dynamic real-time battle system, now featuring amazing graphics through Blu-ray Disc." They're increasing texture resolutions to absurd levels or something? Incredibly dense polygon models? Seems an odd marketing point.

Maybe they just optimised it quite nicely and figured they'd give themselves a pat on the back. Or it could just be a marketing point due to absence of any others.

The voice acting in English was hilarious, it would almost be worth buying again to see it in French.

I didn't care for it from a story standpoint. Also, the voicework was atrocious. Unless you REALLY like Star Ocean, I'd wait for Vesperia.

Who cares anyway? The game sucked balls. Another tedious RPG with a boring plot, annoying characters, and uninspired gameplay. Not even worth a rental.

at least you don't die if you run out of HP OR MP in this game, unlike the PS2 star ocean.

Now THAT was stupid.

But does it still have the idiotic 'shot in the dark' item creation system of SO2 &3?? my god that was annoying –– here, i've somehow chosen the right materials to make a special item (because the game doesn't tell me what i need to make anything or what I could make with my selected items) but wait, I seem to have failed because my skill level is too low!

large chunk of the game = horse $%^*

"In addition to English and Japanese voices, this version includes French, Italian, German, and Spanish language options."

Is that on every copy of the disc?

If so, I love Blu-ray.

Optional voice overs(language), plus! you don't gave to change discs all the time!!!

I think thats the biggest advantage of Blu-ray.
I heard that you need to change discs if you want to go back to certain villages for the 360 version.

The rest, were.

Wow, you never hear French voices in many games! I might consider picking this up because of this, though from what I saw, boss battles are kinda long and you have to grind a ton. But the gameplay looks fun (like Till the End of Time).

Well, at least the voice acting won't be unbearable in this version.

Just found out that the subtitles will be in different language formats, not the voice acting. Voice acting will be in Japanese and English formats, while the subtitles can be in English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, and Italian.

I actually enjoyed the game on the 360, not buying it a 2nd time, but this sounds like the better version coming out, though late. similar to the ps3 release of bioshock with the extras, but i had already played the game a year earlier.

either way enjoy or hate the game, for some reason a lot of people seemed to dislike it much.

hint: if you dont like JRPS then dont play the game, if you do theres a chance the game wont be too bad especially for the new battle real time battle system which even differs from other new real time battle games such as infinite undiscovery..
the real time battle system is a big part of the enjoyment i had with those 2 games since it changes some basic mechanics of a JRPG. nothing against turn based battle's, but i really enjoyed the change, since battles and ranking up is pretty much a large part of what i seem to do when i play those type of games.

I don't care about the actual game, as RPGs in general and JRPGs specifically aren't my thing, but Star Ocean is a really cool phrase.

Loving all the PS3 fangirls saying "thanks for testing"

Yeah, thanks for waiting a year, dipshits - and getting a few paltry extras chucked in to keep you happy. For us it's old news and we've moved onto whatever games have come out since.

Idiots.

I was personally quite dissapointed with this game but it's great to see more RPG's coming to PS3. Is this just a port or will it have new content?
