Trine's Platinum Trophy is all heart and soul

"Trine has a Platinum Trophy because it's a fairly large game for a downloadable title (and dare I say great quality)," Frozenbyte PR manager Joel Kinnunen told Joystiq. "I think all the heart and soul we poured into the game fused into a platinum core, so maybe that's another reason." The virtual reward, obtained by earning all lower-tier Trophies, is generally reserved for the PS3's retail releases.
You may suspect Trine to become one of them -- the PC version made it to retail in North America, after all -- but Kinnunen ruled out any immediate plans for a Blu-ray release.

I didn't think that PSN games could get platinum trophies at all, which has pissed me off with a few as I thought they deserved it. Cool! Another good reason to pick this up, like I didn't already have enough.
el serpiente @ Sep 17th 2009 3:51PM
Wipeout has a platinum. Which I am physically incapable of achieving.
AshStampede @ Sep 17th 2009 3:18PM
is this co-op? I played the pc demo(sp) cant see how this would work with 3 people on the screen at once.
BunnySlapper @ Sep 17th 2009 3:22PM
No, co-op is not possible. The whole story (without giving too much away) revolves around being able to only control 1 character at a time.
Geist @ Sep 17th 2009 3:24PM
Uhhhhh except that it has co-op. Three-player co-op. It may not make sense in the story, but there's co-op, at least on the PS3.
Courtney @ Sep 17th 2009 3:24PM
It's absolutely co-op, designed to be played by 1, 2 or 3 people at one time. If you have 2 players, each can switch to the unused character. If you have 3, each person controls one of the characters. It was that way with the PC version and should be the same for the PSN too.
BunnySlapper @ Sep 17th 2009 3:30PM
Buh? Seriously?
Nevermind then, my apologies...seemed like when I played it the story and game mechanic was all about only having access to one character at a time.
AshStampede @ Sep 17th 2009 5:25PM
so its offline Co-op only then?
BunnySlapper @ Sep 17th 2009 3:21PM
I played it on PC, it was a fun game and the art is awesome.
A little short though, you can plow through the entire thing in just a few hours. Definately left me wanting more levels, and more abilities for the characters.
Luke @ Sep 17th 2009 3:20PM
I forget:
Has online co-op been confirmed for a later date?
dgknight500 @ Sep 17th 2009 4:42PM
No.
I'll hold my fingers crossed though...

*cough* XBLA version *cough*

1) Remove Microsoft's balls from mouth.
2) Proceed to speak.
= No more coughing!

I'm just saying I want an Xbox version. Jeez...I've got a Wii as well, and I'm thinking of getting a PS3. Eventually.
Snowblind @ Sep 17th 2009 5:23PM
Joystiq rule #1
Stating you want an exclusive game on another system = negative feedback.
Viney @ Sep 17th 2009 5:36PM
I don't mean to sound like a fanboy douche, i just hate it when people do that *cough*[something I'm alluding to]*cough* crap.
Residentevil72501 (PSN: rankore) @ Sep 17th 2009 3:46PM
Cant I just use my European account that I made to download this today? lol Instead of waiting for our US release?
Snowblind @ Sep 17th 2009 4:08PM
You can, but you'd need to buy point cards from somewhere in Europe, and as far as I know, we don't have point cards anywhere yet.
I always buy PSOne games from the US marketplace, as they run at full speed as opposed to our butchered PAL versions. But it's pretty easy to find places that will send American point cards, or even just email the code.
The game will likely go up on the American marketplace in a few hours anyway.
Residentevil72501 (PSN: rankore) @ Sep 17th 2009 4:22PM
Yeah Ill just wait and see what our US store updates with today. Plus European stuff is alot more expensive than US. I really really want this game though lol.
