- UT3 is not a shorthand way of saying three urinary tract infections -- rather, it's the acronym commonly used to refer to Unreal Tournament 3.
- Though the internet-savvy may assume FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, that doesn't make much sense with the previous piece of the puzzle in place. However, "Free-to-Play" fits quite nicely.
- STW obviously means "Steam this weekend." If you couldn't figure that out, you should probably go jump off a cliff or something.
UT3 is FTP on STW

Oh, sorry -- do you lack the cryptologic know-how to decipher that headline? Excuse us as we get our Layton on:

I hate just about 90 percent of abbreviations and that people think ones they just typed up to save time are somehow obvious and not obnoxious.

I have both UT2K4 & UT3. Having the UE3 Editor included w/ UT3 is nice, however I think what may have partially contributed to the lack of community activity behind this one is the fact that the UE3 books by Sams publishing JUST being released as of late...is a little late to say the least. Even tho the first book (in a series of 3) was written well OVER a year ago, there was a contract dispute between the writers that were commissioned to write it & Sam's publishing.
In case anyone is interested, when you buy this: http://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Unreal-Technology-Introduction-Design/dp/0672329913/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1253240550&sr=8-1 or any of the other 2 volumes, you get a FREE download of UT3. Not just a free to play weekend.
That is if anyone was considering getting into some UT3 modding such as myself.

Ah yes. Another weekend of UT3 noobs jumping in vehicles and getting them destoyed in 3 seconds flat.
Nothing like playing with people that don't have a clue.
*sigh* Guess I'll just have to stay off the servers this weekend while every noob votes the demo map over and over and over again... :(
