Meh, I already own midnight club + DLC. but for $30, not a bad deal if you've never played it, and are into arcade racers.

Yeah, I bought it, played it, beat it, returned it before the DLC came out, was mildly interested, but didn't want to re-buy the game. This re-release though? It looks like Rockstar's getting another $30 out of me.

When stuck between that & pre-order exclusives, I can't tell if publishers want us to buy right away and spend money... or wait just under a year and..... save money..?

I know really, choice sucks huh.

Here I am being forced to buy a game and optional DLC at full price the day it comes out, and then some asshole goes and releases the game plus DLC a year after it was released for a cheaper price.

The fucking audacity of some people.

It's called a sale. Grow up.

solace, do you think we got screwed for buying the PS3 before the recent price cut? cause that's the same thing. early adopters always pay a premium. that's how it's worked for years.

No one is pulling any kind of 'shit' Solace...nearly every product on the face of the earth gets sold for a cheaper price when sales numbers decline, it's just good business.

I, for example, would not pay $60 for a racing title. $30? That's a little more palatable.

Why would the price of the DLC change? If you didn't buy the game, you didn't buy the DLC. The publisher is obviously trying to move more units of the title in the hopes that people grab the DLC also.

This just doesn't seem to be something to get worked up about. It's giving those that haven't bought the title a better option to.

Mr. Manly, a lot of times games pick up a ton of players when they go GH/PH or receive a steep discount. When Lost Planet and Shadowrun went down to $20, they more than doubled the player count, same with the console version of Team Fortress 2 on The Orange Box.

It's as good a time as when the game came out to start going after MP cheevos, as most of the people you are playing with don't have them either and probably want to get them with you. Granted, a lot of the people you'll find buying these games are kids who've never had more than $30 to their name at any given time because they blow it all on the first $30 game they see, so you do have to deal with 15y/o.

Eh. You know what would be better? A 360-compatible version of Midnight Club: DUB Edition, that game was better than Los Angeles by miles.

Sold the original because I was dirty about not being able to get the Tmobile trophy and hence the platinum. It's a great racer but I don't need to pick it up again.

I really don't like the packaging, why have that ugly red strip on the PS3 game at all, and from what I've read the game will have 4 new 'special moves' brought back from a previous game "..Special Moves return from Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition -- classics like Zone, Agro and Roar are joined by a newcomer, EMP"
If they are smart and add in other DLC then they are possibly gonna make alot of money.

Which considering game manufacturers receive NOTHING from used game sales will create a big reason for people to buy this $30 game and not a used copy with no DLC. With games coming out at $60 to re-release it in 2-3yrs later.. will decrease the amount of used games being sold and more profit than a bunch of $60games being left while people buy used..

Well, I'm more likely to get this now, given the price drop, and having most (if not all) the DLC included is a good plus. Only reason I've not gotten this before, is that, there are to many games... LOL Sometimes it is better to wait till later, and get good deals like this, unless it is a game one just wants/has to play Day 1 (Uncharted2).

I own this game, played it for about 4 hours, desperately wanted to find something fun in it, never picked it up again. Did I do something wrong? I live in L.A., and would love to have an L.A. driving game to release some of my road rage on, sadly, this was not it...

for me the new ps3 logo looks horrid, the spidey font was way better, it seems they took a step back to the ps2 logo and rounded it, that new logo should go to the side box where the red PS3 logo is, its more like theyre copying the dvd-looking 360 games.

This will be a STEAL when it comes out.

The current game is already a steal at $30 right now, but all the 3 Downloadable Content packs for the game with
- 16 new cars / SUV's / motorcycle
- the FREE map expansion "South Central Map Expansion" (unlike on Burnout where you have to pay...),
plus a ton of other content including
- new body parts,
- new rims,
- new vinyl parts,
- 100's of new races,
- new part of the career mode in South Central,
- new music including an exclusive song made by Kid Cudi,
- and more
which is all worth $16 right now.
So this new game coming out should be worth $46, but it's going to be only $30. What a steal!
