Lol, I can't say I have really liked Jack Black all that much until recently. Possibly because of Brutal Legend?

Fucking metal.
Anyone notice Jack Black always uses the word "ROCK" instead of "METAL" when it would seem that the word "metal" is more appropriate?
I think he does that so he can appeal to a wider group of people, but I know hes got a metal heart.
Or maybe I'm just so metal that I think about these things. /shrug
METAL IS THE LAW!

What would you compare the game to? I'm not really hyped for this game (IDK why everyone else is), but if it's like other games I've enjoyed, I might take a closer look at it.
FYI: I don't like metal.

Really, from what I heard, it's not easily comparable to any other game, and that's why I like. Being made by Tim, helps out too.
Also, I never really liked Metal either, but I'm still buying this game, and will get the demo tomorrow.

First off ArchiGamer is right, it's hard to compare it to anything really. Best bet will be to try the demo when it's up on XBL and PSN next week.
As for not like metal, I'm not a huge fan of it either.
Don't get me wrong I don't hate it but i'm not really into music in general.
I'm more of a guy that goes by if I like the song or not rather than genre.
But I have to say the concept of the game, plus the humor, really makes the game something else. Something everyone should try out.

I saw you did nothing. You had a post completely devoid of any sexual innuendo or play on words. Am I right? :P

I'd probably be playing this now if it wasn't for the lack-for-brain employees at my local GameStop.

Blues metal? The first band that came to mind was Richard Cheese, but after second thought, i would consider that jazz metal. The second that came to mind was Opeth. >:D

Blues metal is like, ah, doom/stoner metal. Stoner metal has a lot of blues influences. Hell, Black Sabbath started off as a blues band. For modern metal bands with the blues sound, check out Electric Wizard (pre-2002 stuff), Iron Monkey, Eyehategod, Weedeater, Goatsnake, Bongzilla, Kyuss, Earthride, and Witch. There are many, many more, but these are my favorites.

Though I've never heard the term "blues metal" used before, if there is any band that could fall into that category, it would be Down, particularly with the song "Learn From This Mistake."
Down are great if, and only if, you can get over Phil Anselmo's giant fucking ego. Honestly, it is Pepper Keenan and Kirk Windstein that make the band for me.
