The camera has been changed to a more top-down view, providing a much more fast-paced and arcade-like experience. The game is limited to just four players on the DS version, but a LucasArts producer insists that "the soul of Battlefront has been brought to Nintendo DS in a brand new way." We're wondering if, after watching the footage above, you agree.

I watched this a couple days ago... There's a comment that has me really curious:
"you're gonna be able to play on a single PSP with another player"
I'm not sure if they mean gamesharing-- or if this is some sort of "players take turns & pass the PSP back & forth" kind of thing???

god when will they release an upgradable character online next gen version of battlefront on ps3 and xbox. it would be just as big if not bigger than titles like call of duty and halo. jesus give me the rights and ill start making it. with a game of this magnitude and potential for the next gen online audience every gamemaker in the world should be locked away in a warehouse to make this happen and do it right. what the hell is the hold up??????

Is this a sign that Battlefront III is still coming? Doesn't look like they're getting away from the SW:B series in the least.

Glad to finally see some gameplay of the DS version. It looks great to me. I hope it turns out solid, because I'd like to have a decent SW game for it.

Wow, the DS version looks like garbage. You know they weren't happy with how it looks.. they didn't even bother zooming in on the screen. While the graphics were bad looking, what really turned me off was that horrid DS specific play angle. What is this a platformer now?
I might pick up the PSP version (despite the not-so-challenging lock on controllers), but I really hope they make BFIII. The whole seamless land to space thing was originally from that game anyway...

I'll be interested in seeing how well the DS version sells, simply to see if the top-down perspective is what kept GTA: Chinatown Wars from selling well.
The lack of an FPU on the DS just really bites.

The graphics are horrible and they would not completely mention the features for the DS version. They kept saying the land to air based battles but did not specifically mention the DS version but rather kept making references to the PSP version and it's features...

I don't know about you guys but I'm feeling jiped. Developers are literally aiming for the "casual audience" and because of that we're not getting "actual" games, we're getting kiddy versions of the real things.
