How is it that every time we run a Swag Saturday/Sunday post for a Nintendo Wii game, it's something wonderful? Last time we offered you Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure, and this week we're treating one lucky winner to a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy! To get your hands on it, leave a comment below telling us your favorite moment in the Metroid series -- yes, you can go all the way back to NES. We'll pick one answer at random tomorrow evening to receive the fancy "Collector's Edition" you see above. One stipulation: Automatic disqualification should your answer include the Zero Suit in any way. You know why, ya scoundrels!

Totally all of the times in Fusion hiding and almost crapping my pants, and then the one time I totally did.

The first time I fought a metroid and thought... what the eff??

I really thought the first encounter with Ridley in Prime 3 was really cool.

My favorite moment is a tie between the first time you encounter a Chozo Ghost in Metroid Prime, or the final battle with Metroid Prime in the first game in the Prime series. There was something incredibly epic about it, which only added to why I consider it in my top five favorite games ever.

I loved the first experience of Metroid Prime and feeling they had really done the series justice in the conversion to 3D

The first time I popped in Metroid Prime. It just blew my mind.

Metroid Prime 3 when Samus goes to the space pirate homeworld. Definitely one of the more fun places to play in the trilogy.

The first time I played Metroid Prime. After playing so many hours of side-scrolling Samus, seeing this world in 3D was amazing.

I broke sequence once by total accident it was rad.

Well, I don't have a favorite moment because I never had a Gamecube and never got to play the prime games... all the more reason I NEED to win.

Such a great series, but playing in first person for the first time was amazing!

My favorite moment without question is the first time seeing the series in first person mode. Metroid and Super Metroid were my two favorite games as a youngster, and firing up Metroid Prime on my GameCube took me back again!

it aint in the old 2d metroids, and it isn't something we didn't know was coming from the trailers...but in prime 3, going down the chute with ridley holding onto you.....that was pretty badass to say the least.

Id have to go with loading up Prime for the first time. I loved the 2D games from the NES, GB, GBA and SNES but something about finally getting my hands on Metroid in 3D and first person...absolutely loved it and finishing it was awesome.

The first experience with the Wii controls in Metroid Prime 3. Definitely a nice execution, and really shows the potential in the Wii.

Personally loved the moment when the Baby Metroid saves you at the end of Super Metroid. :D

The first time I played through Super Metroid, when the last Metroid came out of NOWHERE and left me with one energy. Back then I had no idea there was little NOTHING standing between me and one of those energy refill machines and I was treading the next few rooms very lightly.

I've never played the Metroid series before, But that's not to say I haven't heard of the awesome wrought by Samus. I also used her in Super Smash Bros a lot. She was my favorite to use. I'd love a chance to play them.

My favorite was getting through Ridley's area in the original, expecting a hard as balls fight to match the area only to waste him in 20 seconds.

That time when I got MMC1 bank switching working on my NES emulator and was able to run Metroid.

Dammit. Couldn't you wait until i moved to Canada in four days? I loved fighting the chozo ghosts in mp1. The music and the general atmosphere drew me right in. I felt like an old school nes miniboss.

I never played any of the original Metroid games, I started with Metroid: Prime. I loved fighting the Metroid, and how the whole story played out.. I hated the second one, tho.. That dark/lite stuff=P

My favorite moment in the Metroid series...
When Joystiq introduced me to Metroid by awarding me the Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Well of course it was finding out the Samus was a girl, and a really hot one :)

Loading Metroid Prime for the first time. It was such a departure from the series...and it worked so well.

Definitely the Super Metroid final boss fight vs. Mother Brain. If that wasn't the hardest thing I've ever done, I don't know what was. Just seeing that behemoth for the first time left such an impression on me, that every time I've faced it since, I get the absolute feeling of nostalgia. Wonderful game, amazing series.

mother brain was great yes but my favorite thing..one of the things that got me most excited was turning that wii-mote to the right..then pullin back to open something...wow! the metroid series had come a long way! 1,2,and 3 were some of the best games EVER!!!!

Beating Mother Brain the first time in Metroid... it was incredible.

Getting the hyper gun at the end of super metroid and shootin the crap out of everything lol.

In the first Metroid game, for letting a female character finally taking the lead which is revealed at the end. As a female gamer who grew up in the 80s, this was so great to see!

I loved the moment the giant stone boss fell in MP3 when I had it rented, because he was a huge challenge for me at the time, and a classic and epic boss.
