This morning, Joystiq received two images, from an alleged Norwegian GameStop employee, in which multiple PlayStation 3 250GB game bundle SKUs are visibly on display. In one image, claimed to be an internal email to all Norwegian GameStop employees, instructions on the difference between the rumored 250GB PS3 bundles and the current 120GB PS3 are found. The email "there is no difference" aside from storage space and posits four possible "PS3 250GB" bundles: One paired with "NFS" (presumably Need for Speed: Shift); another with "FIFA" (presumably FIFA 10); a third with Uncharted 2; and the final one with Assassin's Creed 2.
In the second image, our anonymous tipster supposedly snapped what looks to be the familiar GameStop clerk inventory screen, albeit with commands in Norwegian. It suggests yet another 250GB PS3 bundle, this time with "Ratchet" (presumably Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time) attached. If we're to trust these images, the bundles will be priced at 3799 kr ($644.16), a 500 kr ($84.78) increase from the current price of a 120GB PS3 Slim at Norwegian GameStops. No release dates are given.
We were told last week by Sony of America that an image of an Uncharted 2 PS3 250GB bundle was a "complete fabrication," and as such we've contacted Sony of America as well as Sony of Europe for comment on these images. We'll update this post as we hear more.

I'm bored of these rumors. Can we start a new one?

I found some more PS3 bundles at my gamestop. I dunno if it qualifies as a new rumor though since these are totally coming.

250gb seems unnecessarily large, but perhaps because I'd been use to the 20gb 360 for so long? I can't imagine filling up my 120gb slim PS3 unless it's nothing but demos and whatnot. I'm definitely not going to buy any TV/movies off PSN since I have Netflix on the 360, and I have personally never seen the real point of installing a game to the HDD. Sooooo, if you don't buy TV/movies, or install full games, what the heck are you people filling up those big HDDs with?

Besides, you can easily remove the hard drive of a PS3 and replace it with a 500 GB hard drive, so having a 250 one seems a little silly.

Well, my 500GB HDD is almost full now. I have 10GB of my music on it, a few movies, trailers, all AVGN episodes, plenty installed games. Yup. About 80GB left.

I just found out a reason why to install some games to HD when I tripped over a cord, bumped my Xbox, and scratched my disk as it was spinning in the drive. From now on, all music games are getting installed because I'm not risking that again.

I'm stretching my 20gb HD as much as I can on my 360, but with all the DLC and XBL games I buy, I'm coming close to the end of the line.
Those Beatles DLC albums are going to do the trick though.

Yeah I got effed on the 20gb. Had 3 seasons of Tim & Eric, a season of Heroes, and maxed out after the different DLC and demos. Not too big a deal since I can't imagine I'll rewatch any of that soon, or possibly ever. Figure since I can use my computer as a media server for both the 360 and PS3 I don't need to install any music on the HDD of either.
Beg pardon on a few ignorant questions, but since I just got the PS3 I have a few moronic questions.
@ Rob S - It's easy to replace an HDD on a 360, do you mean it's not as easy because they're silly expensive for a larger one?
@ Archon - Do you need the disc in the drive in order to play an installed game?
@ Aristokrat - Tripped over the USB controller cable? Mine is only 3 ft so I can't really play the PS3 when it's attached...

Actually yes, I mean $140 dollars for a 120 GB hard drive? I can get a 1TB one for about $100 now, come on Microsoft!

We are still talking about the PS3, right? Some games installs are mandatory, others are optional. You still need the disc, but the game loading times are cut down to almost 0. Not to mention that some Downloadable Games are huge! Also, I almost forgot: my Rock Band and Singstar library is almost 40GB, too...

I wish Sony would release a 250GB GT5 bundle with a Ferrari red paint job on the PS3 (I talking about actually being painted by Ferrari).

that would be sick...and would most certainly bring a +$100 premium for the Ferrari name on it

This is legit, you'll here more about it later this week during TGS...
Remember SCEE/SCEA always say no if you ask them...

Being in the US, I feel like we're just in the dark about the 250GB. It's all about Europe here (And not about the US or Japan for once!). I'm holding off on getting a slim until after TGS just to make sure that I don't experience buyer's remorse if they announce a super bundle for $3 (okay, not exactly that much).
