Behind the scenes at Joystiq, we have a lot of news we want to get to every day, and some stories just don't make the cut. We just want to take a moment to apologize to whatever story gets bumped so we can write about this particular item. If you're in anyway newsworthy at all it must come as quite a shock. But trust us, it's not you ... it's us.
So, after the break, you'll find a video of a guy who made a mod that replaces the sound effects of Half-Life 2 with ones he made with his own voice. It's completely unimportant and utterly magical.
lol that's awesome. reminds me very much of a friend of mine that did this back with counterstrike and put in bewww and zewww chapowwww noises of his own lol.
Ugh! Why do people always insist on subjecting everyone to their horrible taste in music in these videos? There's plenty of ambient stuff out there to use.
Actually I remember Marathon (Bunjie's first FPS) doing it on the Mac about 13 odd years ago. the sounds were replaced by "Bill and Ted"sound clips. Hilarious!
Lame post is lame. If you are going to cover Source mods atleast post something interesting like an update on the remake of Half-Life 1 entirely with source step for step and word for word (free mod).
