Actually I'm not fine with it at all. I'm a avid gamer who wants to play games in HD, but the problem is that there isn't anything worth playing for gamers such as myself to begin with on the Wii. HD is not something the Wii needs. Some advice for Suda, if you make the next No More Heroes on the PS3 or 360 it might be a game that people actually play.

Dude seriously...you listed Rygar. You could take a dump in a DVD case and get more enjoyment and satisfaction from that than you would from playing a stinker like Rygar.

I'm one of the biggest Nintendo fanboys on this site and even I recognize that list needs culling. It'd be like a Sony fanboy throwing Haze or Lair on a games list.

Thought process of crazy fanboy:

"I know! I'll make a list, that'll prove I'm not crazy! Yes!

What should I put on the list... yes that, that... oh that's a good one. Hmm, it's not long enough. Well we'll just put some crappy games in the mix, and then fill a quarter of the list with games that people wish would come out for it, but never did. Yes, yes! Include the games people wanted to play on Wii but never were able to!

I'm finally finished with my life's work and it all makes perfect sense! I'm brilliant!"

EI8HT, we weren't playing those 16 bit games on 60" 1080p TVs. 16 bits looks a lot better on a 19" screen than it does on 60.

Not to mention, your argument is ridiculous.

There was once a time where people were fine crapping in a hole in the ground outside their house. There was once a time where we were fine going to the library and reading encylopedias to get information about stuff. There was once a time where we were happy to get 6 TV channels.

Newslfash, shit gets better in time, and the old stuff becomes unacceptable.

I didn't make the list, Nor do I fully agree with it, I would never have put Wii sports resort on it. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, their is going to be games on that list you don't like. The creator of the list said that the sonic games copped a lot of flak however thought it still deserved to be included since he found them worth a play through.

I understand Cody's point of view, I am disapointed that I have nothing on my wii to compare to the sabotuer or justcause2, but to say there is nothing is pretty lazy, lazier then copy and pasting a list of recommended games I happened to have sitting in the background in a text document, a mere one click away.

Long list was pretty long.

Suda says it won't be. Shortly after that, he mentions that he wants to keep No More Heroes on Nintendo's consoles and he wants to develop other IPs for Sony and Microsoft's motion controllers.

Chris, the current controller doesn't require that games use motion controls. I'm playing Muramasa right now with no motion controls whatsoever.

There's no way they'd add a traditional gamepad in addition to the remote and nunchuk, thus increasing the price.

I hope they stay with the split controller. After a couple of hours with the 360 controller, my hands hurt (especially my thumbs). I've played the Wii for 6 hours and not felt any soreness.

Guttertalk, but when you use the wiimote as a traditional controller without the motion controls it's pretty much the equivalent of an original NES controller, which was already outdated 15 years ago and is well beyond out-dated now.

Also, you must have the most oddly shaped hands in history if playing on a 360 controller makes your hands hurt and holding a sideways wii-mote for 6 hours doesn't. In fact, I'm not convinced you're human.

THAT SUCKS!! this isnt 1985...hell the Wii "Classic" controller is nice enough to where they should make games that run on that out the box...assuming Nintendo would make the damn thing wireless I would like it more

I love games that just require the 4 buttons (2 is even better!). When developers have to make tough decisions about controls, they tend to streamline the game.

@vcize: I am a middle aged gamer, so it's not so much that I have oddly shaped hands as I'm older. :) The analog sticks, especially the right one, on the 360 controller force me to crook my thumbs a bit, and they get sore.

@chris: Assuming that you have you have the Wii remote and nunchuk, you have 6 buttons. It's not 8 (or 10 if you count the < and > buttons on the 360).

But your complaint doesn't require a traditional controller but more buttons, and I think they could add 2 more buttons without a major redesign of the controllers. With more of a redesign, they could add more.

I love the nunchuk for its design, but it's button-limited. Nintendo could maybe add one button there. Maybe.

If that's the case, I'm hoping Travis gets a really epic ending. He's a great character and rightly deserves one.

to be fair (though it is my belief and hope that Wii successor comes in 2011, too), Wada was just speaking to investors, investors who want to see more Wii games, which Square Enix has kinda boxed themselves out of with investment in their FFXIII engine. He said that to hope that, relatively soon, they could use that engine to make games for the leading platform

It's a sad commentary on the video game "press" that Suda had to clarify those remarks. If you go back and look at his original statement, he never actually said anything about NMH going to PS3 or 360.
That was just the usual morons in the fanboy press assuming that, why, he MUST have meant NMH3 would be on PS360! Because that's how dreams come true!

You're just looking to pick a fight here. The guy had previously said that the game was originally planned for the 360, not the Wii. He actually said "Originally, I'd wanted to make this game for Xbox 360, actually."

I could see your point if this were out of the blue, but when the guy says he wanted the game on the 360, then says "we're not making another one on the Wii", it's not really that much of a leap to think he might be talking about the next one being on the 360.

Also, not only did he say it was originally planned for the 360, but he actually said it was better suited for the 360.

So again, not really a gigantic leap there. When the guy says the franchise is better suited for the 360, then says they're not making another one for the Wii, there's a pretty clear implication there.

No one is trying to pick a fight. The guy said NOTHING about what the future plans for the game were. N O T H I N G.

It was the gaming press that assumed that he meant it was going to be on PS360. That's just flat out irresponsible journalism and, quite clearly in this case, was fueled more by a desire to see the series on one of the HD consoles. It's a friggin' joke. Imagine if Capcom came out and said Resident Evil 6 wouldn't be on a PS360. Do you think the gaming press would assume that means Wii? After all, they do "have good reason" to believe it, since RE4 and RE:UC both sold well over a million.
No. That wouldn't happen in a million years!

Picking a fight? Hardly. I'm just tired of gaming journalism's lax standards, be it on blogs or sites like IGN. It's a total joke and this instance is yet another unfortunate example of why.
...not even the Washington press corps is THAT irresponsible!

The sad part is that what samfish said is true. The gaming media saw an opportunity to generate lots of page-hits by giving PS360 fanboys hope that they might get to play a good game without having to use the accursed Wii.

(not saying PS360 fanboys aren't quite happy without Wii, just that when they see a good game on Wii, they complain that it's potential is wasted)

Oh bullshit. Utter, despicable, bullshit.

Yes, if the RE5 creator came out and said he thought the game was better suited for the Wii and that the next RE wouldn't be on the PS3/360, you can bet your ass that people would assume he meant the next one was coming to the Wii.

It's not some big leap, it's not fanboy provocation, it's fucking logic. And sure, it didn't work out that way this time, but when someone comes out and says the game was originally going to be on the 360, and that the game is better suited for the 360, and then says that the next game isn't going to be on the Wii, it's pretty logical to infer that he might be talking about the 360. It's the next logical step.

Seriously, you're being 10x worse than the "provacative gaming media" in this instance. I don't deny that they often do stuff like this to stir things up, but in this instance it actually made sense.

No.

And here's where YOU are making an ill informed leap:
When Suda said NMH was originally going to be on 360, he wasn't saying that in a, "Oh, we WANTED to make it on 360, but just couldn't" kind of way.
He was saying it in a, "At first we were making it on 360, just because, but when we saw the Wii controller, we thought it would be a better fit" kind of way.
He *NEVER* said it was better suited for the 360. I have no idea where you got that from. The whole reason it ended up on the Wii is because he eventually felt it was better suited.
http://www.mcvuk.com/news/29510/Time-For-Heroes-began-life-on-360-says-developer
You seem to be under the impression that he WANTED (as in, was FORCED to make it on the Wii instead) the game on the 360. But if so, that is ignorance on your part, most likely because ONCE AGAIN what he said was distorted.

I mean, Dead Rising was originally planned for the PS2. Do you think Dead Rising will ever be on the PS2?
Games start off on other consoles and get moved all the time. So what?

Saying "it isn't much of a leap" is bullshit. Especially if you're a journalist. You shouldn't be making ANY leaps in the first place.
I REALLY don't understand how you think I could possibly be being "worse" when I'm simply not jumping to conclusions the way everyone else did from a statement he made that implied anything BUT what he actually said...

For the record, by the way, since I'm suspect you're getting ready to pull the 'fanboy' card on me:
I hated No More Heroes. I don't give a damn what console it ends up on because, at best, I'm only going to rent it, unless NMH2 is a 200% improvement over the original in every way. It has a terrible combat system, the horrible overworld and the stupid concept of working sidejobs for cash was completely game breaking, IMO.
