Approximately 12 hours ago, NCSoft flicked the proverbial switch in the US, thus opening the flood gates to its new MMO, Aion. Unfortunately, many users are still running into some unusually long server queues. If you've already run out of ideas from Massively's server queue survival guide, why not watch this launch trailer for the game you're waiting around for? It's pretty sweet! Don't you wish you could just play the game right now?
I actually bought it and have been playing on early access.
It's fun enough, but doesn't break the mold. Yes it's a grind, but with lots of quests so far. It's still entertaining, but I imagine I'll toss it in the heap of other MMOs I'm tired of in another 2-3 weeks.
Have to say, the wings are fun though. I like that they allow you to explore more than just the ground, but so far the areas where you can use them are pretty limited (granted I'm only level 15).
Been waiting over 2 hours in line to get on Azphel already; I know it's launch day, and head start wasn't much better, but this is borderline unacceptable.
Unless they plan to make a 2-hour trailer akin to in-flight movies, not sure what good this will do.
I am not trying to dog it right out of the gate but I have played pretty much every recent MMO and the Korean ones are the most boretastic voyages of them all. I really hope this MMO is good though, I wouldnt be suprised if it goes pay to play before long though just like everything else. I really hope I am wrong though because I would love to find another MMO to replace WoW god would I.
I meant free to play gees! lol Obviously it costs money now lol. My friend is playing it and he says its awesome, I told him to play it for a couple weeks and let me know cuz if its good I will be all over that.
