Xbox 360 Elite for $249 (with rebate) until Oct. 5

This deal is awesome. It's true though that these new 360 and PS3Slim SKUs should be coming with at least some HD component on amazon for 3 bux (with s/h!). That's how much I paid for my PS3 HDMI chord and it works perfectly. Admittedly, 360s should come WiFi ready right out the box but there are advantages and disadvantages to both systems. I still like my 360 better, mostly b/c I've grown fond of the interface, exclusive demos, and the fact that games are made for 360 first then ported to PS3 for the most part.

to be fair, I do vaguely recall Joystiq pointing out the lack of HD cableness on the PS3Slimothy

I had no intentions of buying a 360 soon...however if I had the cash this would be extremely tempting. I might have to eventually get a 360 (not bashing it) if I'm going to be doing more work on XNA.

My biggest concern is RROD-aphobia.

Why did I get a elite 3 days before this?

I bought one from Amazon and it came today, do we think they will give it to me?

I love my PS3 but it didnt come with Componet cables, Or a HDMI cable... I wish every PS3 post started on the same note as every 360 story.
