I hope they make a new installment relatively quickly. It'd be rad if it were based in Gotham, total open world, different supervillains controlling different parts of the city and taking them down in a different order changed the story.

An open world would be awful. Arkham Asylum worked because the island was a relatively small place. Stealthing around a massive city would be a pain in the ass.

You wouldn't need to stealth around all the time, only around baddies. You could glide/grapple around the city or take the batmobile/batwing.

No, the engine wouldn't work in a totally open world. However, multiple areas connected by a hub (batcave most likely) would work well.

We need an "Open grates" missions.

How many grates can you open in succession.

Don't get me wrong. I love the game. But fuck...so many grates.

I started playing through it this week and yes there are way to many grates. I'm only about 25% of the way through and I've gone through a couple hundred I think.

Yeah. Hammering the A button was fun the first, and maybe second, time. But after that it was kind of annoying. Yeah, Batman is strong enough to open the grate. Just do it already!

This place is reporting that this DLC pack will be exclusive to the PS3 in North America.

Not trying to start something, just throwing this out there, it may warrant investigation to see if it's true.

http://worthplaying.com/article/2009/9/23/news/68698/

"The new content will be available beginning Sept. 24 as a free download on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace in Europe, on PlayStation Network ONLY in North America."

It's been up on Xbox Live since this morning.
So you can safely assume the rumour is false.

It may be a mistake. It would be odd, seeing as how it hasn't been announced as exclusive, at least to my knowledge.

Okay, apparantly the content isn't up in the US.

But even if it does turn out to be an exclusive, it requires little more than having a hotmail.co.uk account. I honestly don't see why they'd bother.

It's more than just some rumblings, considering it was posted on the official Arkham forum that it's most certainly NOT coming to the 360 in the US anytime soon.

Well, it's good to have more locations to play at, and some more challenges, but the combat rooms get pretty repetitive, especially if you are going for the trophies/achievements. I'm looking at you damn Shock and Awe(Extreme)!!

Here's hoping for some side story DLC or something along the lines, even if it's paid.

LOL! Don't get me started! I JUST completed shock and awe (extreme) today and it was a nightmare! I swear I nearly snapped my PS3 controller on Saturday night with rage, I did the level but i was 400 points shy of 30000.

I would love some more Batman skins but yeah any DLC for thi game is great!

This is great... free DLC on both 360 and PS3. How are they getting away with it, while some companies state that MS force them to sell their DLC. Is it just the 360 exclusives being forced to sell or is it because this is a "minor" DLC?

This really makes me wish that I had an Ethernet connection instead of wireless so I could get my 360 online and bask in the glory of this free DLC. I don't have a stand right now on free vs. payed DLC, but man, this is awesome!

If you're on a Windows machine, use ICS and share a wired ethernet port. Then use a cross cable to connect your 360 to the ethernet port, and boom, Internet connected 360.

I applaud this free DLC, they could've packed these two DLC's together and charged us, but thankfully Batman's sense of justice prevailed.

It's not coming to the US on the 360. It's available in EU for the 360 and PS3, but it's PS3 only in the US. At least for now.

at moments when we think that over greedy corporate machine is taking over and raising prices, such as MW2 in Europe / Halo 3 Expansion, we are rewarded with the kindness of this, leaving us to wonder, why?

Either that or they're whetting our appetites for DLC maps, then creating new, paid-for maps. Well, it might just work, so kudos to them!

Yeah I don't get it either.

GTA was paid for and so was Fallout. Its just weird that EU gets the DLC but not NA. This is definitely some strange Sony exclusive DLC deals they have going on. Anyway like someone already said, if you want it for the 360 in NA, you just need to create a EU account.

The ps3 but not the 360, but only in north america? Why? Also, what about the PC?

I understand making a game only for one platform, but being picky about how each platform gets extras like DLC is just lame. A person who bought this game deserves to play all the content regardless of what platform they bought it on.

When I start having more time for gaming, this will be at the top of my list to buy and play. Everything from the reviews to the comments about it make it sound like an incredible game. Couple that with this free DLC and the previous free DLC...How can I not be tempted?!

According to a few folks on the AA/Eidos forums, it's a deal they made with Sony. This particular pack is PS3 only, at least in the US.
