God of War Collection to include God of War III demo

As if having the first two God of War games remastered in HD for PS3 wasn't reason enough to pick up the God of War Collection, Sony has announced via the PlayStation blog that the title -- due to hit in November -- will include a download voucher for the E3 demo of God of War III. This isn't a promotion limited to specific retailers: all copies of the game will contain the code, and the demo will be available via the PlayStation Store on the day the collection is released.

Now, before you say, "Hey, isn't an E3 demo kind of old?," you should know that the slice of the game we played at the show was pretty robust, lasting nearly 20 minutes and showcasing a good variety of locations and many of the new moves at Kratos' disposal. So there's that ... and the fact that you'll get to play God of War III before 2010.

I haven't played the first to God of Wars now that they threw the demo in with this version it's become a must buy for me...

platnium, u have missed out on like an epic game that more epic than MGS4 and all the other MGS series combined and a dash of fallout 3 as well. That's who epic GoW is.

I have BC, but didn't want to hunt down the PS2 vers to play in PS2 res, but now...

I never played the first two games (no excuses really) so this is a definite buy for me. Can't wait.

GoW sucks. serious, i don't get why people like this game? it's repetitive, and i've seen the new one, i've played the new one, and graphically it's nothing special.

they had a truck going around town to town fellows. it was at a festival called musikfest in bethlehem, pa in august. and yea, i still wasn't impressed.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.The rule I follow is if someone starts with {insert game}sucks; the rest of what the person says can be thrown out the window b/c they are obviously trying to convince everyone else that it true.

Not everyone likes God of War. I played the first on PS2, and thought the main character was an insufferable prick, and the game was trying very hard to rope in the 14-year-old boy demographic. I now own a PS3 and could not possibly care less about the collection, or the new installment.

Now, I sit back and watch you rabid fanboys vote me the hell down.

first off, it's you're, not your. secondly, i have played it. scroll up a guy said there was a sony booth at Lollapalooza. do you think they would ONLY have 1 booth at 1 festival in the ENTIRE country?? come on guys, you're smarter than that.

Look dude; you could as well be telling the complete truth or you could be lying through your teeth, we just can't tell b/c this is the F*&%$* internet.I myself can come to this site with a different user name and pretend that I am the lead designer of MW2 and would tell everyone that I was high while making it and that the game is going to be a glitch fest.

Well, just like the internet you all follow the leader and don't really check on the facts to see if i was or was not telling the truth. So can someone please go look up if the Sony truck, or booth as someone called it (although it WAS a Semi) was at Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pa this year AND TELL ME I'M A LIAR.

This makes up for all the damn delays until 2010.

As this was one too, it seems like every Sony rumor turns out to be correct. So I'm looking forward to downloading ps2 games like MGS3 in the (hopefully near) future too.

The reason people keep downvoting you is because of how you painted yourself with your first post. You can't expect people to take you seriously when to be honest the only time we really hear poeple screaming about how a game sucks (a game that a lot of people like) is when they are obvious fanboys just trolling. Like someone else already said if you came in here starting with 'In my opinion' or 'Honestly I've never seen the appeal of this type of game' or something that would be different. saying later that you prefer Killzone 2 and MGS4 isn't going to matter cause everyones already blocking you out.
