I don't think anyone (me included) was seriously lambasting you for not playing it on PC. Indeed, the $7 fee, while not exactly fair, would be much cheaper than investing in a PC.
I do think you're missing out on a few great games, but I won't trouble you with that.

Also, stop charging odd amounts so it makes it harder to do the point-dollar conversion. Charge either 5 or 10 for it. Preferrably 0.

The $7 price has been there all along. I remember the article when it was first announced because a bunch of people were complaining about the price back then.
What people need to realize is that Valve didn't/doesn't want to charge for the DLC. There is an article on Shacknews about it and how Valve didn't want to charge for it but was forced to by Microsoft. Valve's strategy is to release DLC for free because they have always seen increased sales following the release of it.

Luckily I bought the PC version so I don't have to pony up anything. Same for L4D 2 - I'll get it off steam or the local Futureshop store ( it was $20 cheaper last time from the store)

I have both the PC and Xbox version but I hate to pay for stuff that PC users get for free. . reminds me of the Map Packs for CoD:WaW . . payed 30$ already for 3 Map Packs. . . I can get a brand new game for 30$! Oh well, damn MS rules for XBL, eh ?

Gotta love pc games, the game itself is cheaper than the 360 version, plenty of mods and even the dlc is freaking free... I think i'll be getting left for dead 2 on pc to avoid this dlc pricing again >_>

Same here. I'll at least wait until I can pick up left 4 dead 2 for 30 on 360 if I even feel like playing it then after owning it on PC. Doubt anyone I know will get it for PC only reason I would get it for 360 is to play with them.

i really dont think that's true. In the interview chet falziek gave, he said microsoft was really great in helping them get the survival pack out (for free mind you). But then he said they felt this one had a lot of value which basically translates to "we think this is good so you gotta pay":

Problem with pc gaming is you have to upgrade at least once a year to play the best games on the highest settings! I paid 770 to upgrade to play Stalker. On the other hand pc is the way to go for cool mods and hacks/ trainers'

hey for everybody complaining about the dlc and has a decent computer, this week you can buy l4d on steam for only 15 bucks so any other dlc you will ever buy for l4d will be free. there you go, for everybody else too bad you gotta buy it :)

anyone else have problems with it. like when it plays that music and everything goes quiet (i cant hear the zombies and i cant hear ppl talking), and it lags like hell. Its not my settings, i cheked them and they are the same as before.
