Sorry still not interested.

I'd rather buy a second PS3 for as Blu Ray player for my room than a Wii at this point. As much as I want Metroid the new Mario and some other games for the Wii, I still have a huge backlog of games I have to catch up on.

With having a PC, 360 and a PS3 I'd be just wasting my money buying a console that I will never play unfortunately.

Which as always been retarded, because the PS3 and Xbox 360 console in canada matches the prices they have in the US. Why won't nintendo follow sut is beyong me.

I sure hope it gets to be 199$ in Canada. If not, my son might not be getting a Wii for his birthday after all.

@Shadow Hog & Bradwart: Technically, Nintendo does have the best-selling console of all time, if you count the Game Boy as a "console."

The Wii is officially the best selling console of all time. It's surpassed PS2 in sales in a certain time period.

Does this also mean NIntendo will try harder when it comes to software instead of the current, be innovative but not do enough to make the game great, just good?

lemme know when the announce a greatest hits line and quite charging full price for titles like twilight princess and super mario galaxy, then i might care. 200$ is still alot for gamecube hardware and a remote that doesn't do what its really inteded to do without motion plus :P

lol, nobody seems to care.

Though i must say, Nintendo did a much better job at keeping it quiet than Sony or Microsoft. Though in fairness, it was harder for Sony, since the realities of manufacturing telegraphed it well in advance.

Interesting to see where it goes, though. They've been building 2.4 million worldwide monthly, but selling nowhere near that. Time to move some stock.

Would be nice to see more consistency with the bans though. Little tired of seeing sony trolls overrun this place.

Yeah. As soon as the PS3 had its price drop, it was pretty much a given that a Wii price drop was coming.

Exactly, because after the PS3 Slim and 360 Elite dropped to $299 it would cost just $50 more than the Wii. Back in 06 and 07 people bought the Wii because it was cheaper. The PS3 cost $350 more than the Wii and that was too much for gamers for some gamers. Now that the PS3 is only $299 and has improved on the original 60GB it would be an obvious choice to get it over the Wii. So that's why Nintendo dropped the price. It's so obvious.

I don't think this really has much at all to do with the PS3 price drop. It likely has more to do with Nintendo being determined to hit their sales goal for the Wii this year more than anything.

Um, for the reason. Supply is up and price is down.
So sales can increase and so does demand.
