If it was on PS3 I would get it straight away, so if you have a 360; buy it now. You won't regret it.

This is an outstanding XBLA title. Really addictive and challenging. Never gets old watching your motorist go flying across the screen.

Trials HD made me repeatedly want to punch my 360 in its stupid smug face.

Buy it now.

A slightly trimmed down version is also out on PC - grabbed it on Steam for £1 in a sale a few months ago.

Anecdotal evidence: I bought it.

Also: That's pretty impressive for a $15 game.

As ridiculously hard as Trials can be, remember, the inputs are VERY simple. Accelerate, decelerate, lean forward, lean back. And those really break down into two axes.

Which is all to say, it's very easy to grasp the controls, so as difficult as the higher end tricks may be, it's not immediately intimidating. It's readily apparent that when you can't finish a hard trial, it's because you don't have the skill or the practice for it, not because you're fighting a complex input system.

I think this, combined with the fun visuals, is what's leading it to such high sales.

As a Trials 2 player, I can only hope HD lands on Steam at some point.

The devs said HD won't land on the PC as it was built specifically for consoles. However, there will probably be a sequel to Trials 2. Perhaps it'll be called Trials 3?

True, but my biggest gripe with the game is that there is no subtlety in movement of your guys position. He thrusts full force front or back and that leads to some infuriating times when trying to get across some stuff.

My biggest gripe is that there's no brake. If there was a way to brake without reversing, it would be very helpful.

Oh, and the fact that you can only share custom tracks with friends is really stupid.

I really wish this was on PSN. I'll (hopefully) be getting a 360 soon, so this will be on the top of my list for downloadable games to get when I have the chance. I had a chance to play it at a bud's house and it was great fun.

I bought it. Not sure it was worth the 1200ms I spent on it though. If they release more levels(for free) or at least a decent way to share player made levels, then it would be.

I love Trials. I know that among my group of friends it caught on through word of mouth. I'd say around ten of my friends (IRL) picked it up over the last month. It's the leaderboards that drive the game. When you see your friends and their ranks at the top of the screen the way you do in Trials it really builds the competition. In that way the game is almost multiplayer...

Anyway, I have to go now to get the one more gold in hard and break back into the top 6,000 overall ;)

Waaaaaait, that 15 times 300.000 aka 4,5 million dollars? That's not bad for an Independent game company O.o

They don't get all that money though. I'm not saying they haven't earned a good chunk of change with this game, but Microsoft (like any other downloadable game service company like Sony or Apple) gets a percent of the earnings. It is still an impressive number of sales, regardless.

I love it. Incredible value--can't stop playing it, but getting a bit frustrated with the extreme tracks. And making plans to buy my own 250cc bike to rip it up.

PEOPLE ACTUALLY BOUGHT THIS GAME?!
Now don't get me wrong I am definitly not a hater of bike games, in fact I usually* love them. This game was too simplistic and pointless to me... But apparently if this is a top seller of sorts most others actually found some fun out of it... However in my opinion this was the one summer arcade game I didn't care about xD MVC2 and Shadow Complex were the best, and splosion man was pretty cool too.

@emperorzeroxx, did you actually PLAY the game? If you did, you would know there is nothing simple about it. It may seem simple on the surface, but it takes thought and a LOT of patience.

I bought this for my son (and for me too), and when we played the demo man we had so much fun. Just making your guy crash and watching him explode is fun.
After buying the game. WOW some of those levels are pretty tricky, but of course my son beats me all the time. I can't seem to pass the one with the two balls and you have to jump from one to the other. I love the one you get to ride inside the ball though.

I haven't played HD but have Trials 2 on steam and it sure is a punch in the nuts. I wonder how they compare in difficulty.

I also have the PC version... needless to say I haven't played much of it because it's so freaking hard.

And for some reason the graphics are really slow, despite having a constant 180 FPS on both L4D and TF2 with highest settings @ 1920x1280

While I do enjoy the game I think it being part of the Summer of arcade special had something to do with it as well.
