I know, what a terrible trailer trying to make me laugh with its portrayal of an over the top, very animated character that seems unique from any other character I've seen in a game thus far. Such a shame that all games can't have the comedic dexterity of Saints Row 2. I mean in that game you get to spray poop on houses. POOP! Can you think of anything that tops poop's inherent comedic value? I submit no you can not!

Looks like I am booking a flight to Liberty City this October, it's always the (freakin' crazy) people that bring me back. :D

Same with you. I been holding back on taking a trip to Liberty City. Now if only I can find a ticket so I can head back to Vice City. Let me bask in the sun on the beach with girls having big poofy blonde hair in bikini's and listening to 80s rock while driving my Sentinel XS.

Wow, I'm so glad this game breaks through the common stereotypes that plague today's video games.

Ok, I lied. Who gives a fuck?

Actually, the aliens started building the pyramids first but then Kanye interrupted them so they left our galaxy for good.

Some time later, Yusuf and company finished up the pyramids.

Of course, all of this happened in a galaxy far far away.

The one where atmosphere, story, and character building don't matter and spraying poop on houses while naked is what makes gaming so great.

I'm sorry, but I value good gameplay and tight, comprehensive controls. GTA IV had neither. I'd rather play a fun game than a realistic one.

Oh, and if "Immigrant with annoying accent comes to America to babysit his cousin and kill people" passes as good story for you, then I'd be willing to bet that you think Michael Bay movies have great story, atmosphere, and character-building as well.

So, yes, you can have your bowling and darts mini-games that are about as much fun as a dental appointment, and I'll take my ATV-on-fire and unlimited rocket launcher mini-games instead.

If I want story, I play Bioshock or KotOR. If I want sandbox, gangsta fun, I'll take Saints Row 2.

Yeah, it is.

My sister knows a guy knows Yousef. One day I asked who she was with, when she said "Yousef" I thought she said "yourself" and confusion ensued.

If you're the sort of gamer who only liked GTA because you could run around the city and cause havoc and do crazy shit and barely played the missions at all (there are a lot of people like this) than I could see why someone would like Saints Row better than GTA4.

I personally disliked all past GTA games but really got into GTA4 and Lost and Damned because the world Rockstar crafts and the stories they tell there really connected with me this time around. Saints Row can't touch GTA4 when it comes to characters and story which is why I like this game more than anything.

Agreed. While I'll admit that there's more to do in SR2 than there is to do in GTAIV, I'll say this: Quality always beats quantity.

The fact is, GTAIV is just a much better game. That's not to say SR2 is bad, it isn't. But it's nowhere near as good as any of the GTA games. I've always played GTA for the satire and the story and that's why I'll always go back to the GTA world.

Ballad of Gay Tony is what GTA 4 should have been from the start (parachutes, insane missions, tanks, etc). It's great to see rockstar going back to what made them and GTA popular in the first place. Will gladly rebuy GTA 4 and get this as soon as I can.
