Thirded. I would rebuy ICO and SotC in a heartbeat, if they were HD.
I also hear that there were some bosses left out of SotC, because the PS2 wasn't able to handle them at a good enough framerate. Now THAT is a bonus which would leave fans in a drooling mess.

I love the different style of gameplay, this is what I'd like to see more of, and less of the crappy generic fps we're so used to seeing.

AHMEN!
Especially when it's the same regurgitated crap as the previous iteration with little to offer in terms of new content, direction or innovation.

I really hope there will be a remastered Ico/SotC pack out too.

Yes. Dear god yes. Far too many players have completely missed the opportunity to play Team ICO's previous two games, (especially ICO).

Although I still find this dog/bird hybrid creature disturbing, I'm sure this game will be impressive. I wish they release ICO and SoTC for PS3 as they did with GoW Collection.

I know people like to say that Japanese developers are behind Western developers but I don't believe that. This game has more soul, heart and imagination than anything I've seen this generation. I can't wait to play this one. It's like the never ending story but even better!

Toriko could also be read "Trico", which was the code name for the game. In other words, the code name for the project is the actual name of the project (in Japan anyway) in a way that we didn't expect.
It's a shame, but "The Man Eating Bird Toriko" (or whatever the official name translates to, I forget) doesn't really roll off the tongue in English. If the English title sells even one extra copy in the US and Europe, it will have been worthwhile. Why they felt the need to change Wander and the Colossus to Shadow of the Colossus will always be a mystery to me though (does the word "Shadow" really sell western audiences?)

Personally, I think "Shadow of the..." makes a bit more sense. "Wander and the" implies that the characters name is Wander, but since it also means to aimlessly walk around it could be a bit more confusing.
It's a great name since you do tend to wander around a lot in SotC, but it might confuse some people. Shadow of the Colossus feels more... epic and mysterious. Combined with the cover art I feel it lends itself to the gameplay and emotions. You really are a young boy standing in the shadow of the colossus.

I partially agree, "boring combat systems" were in ICO but not in SoTC. SoTC was flawless, one of the best games ever.

I don't want to see another second of footage from the game, or rather, I've seen plenty and now I'm ready for the game to come out (which may be years away, considering that he seems to imply that the story isn't even done)
There isn't a whole lot of new information presented in the trailer, but it is nice to get a behind the scenes look at Team Ico (they don't do very many interviews after all). The most interesting footage to me was the scene where the bridge is collapsing, and the boy has to grab on to Toriko's tail to keep from falling. It seems like the tech from SOTC related to one character being able to grab on to a much larger character (without noticable errors) has made the jump to the new game.
I could go on and on about nerdy technical aspects, but really, I don't need to for this game. The art direction and story matter more than the technology behind the game, and I can't wait for things such as the OST to be nailed down (they are still using the placeholder music from the first trailer).
Oh, and I second the Ico/SOTC HD pack on the PS3, though I doubt it is going to happen. The sales of both games just weren't high enough to warrant it. Having said that...a man can dream.

aside from the constant dips in framerate and the fact that you don't have normal enemies to battle, don't get me wrong, great game, but far from flawless.

Although I agree about the framerate issues, if they were to add regular enemies it might break the feeling of solitude and immersion. Then again, who knows, but I have faith that Team ICO knew exactly what they were doing.

y'know, this holiday and early 2010 (I hope for this as well) PS3 lineup really has me wishing I had a PS3... I guess it'll happen in the next three months or so, so I'll be okay. I honestly thought this was coming to the 360 though.
Game looks great, graphics and storytelling might just set new standards. My current favorite game story is COD4, but this looks even better. Keep up the good work, ICO!

What in the world made you think this was coming to the 360? Team ICO is owned by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. that would be like expecting Mario Galaxy 2 on Xbox 360 or expecting Halo 4 on the PS3. Well, at least it appears you have a lot of time to save up for the PS3- I'm pretty certain that this game will be worth it (the money AND the long wait).

Team ICO games. There's just something about their games....I can't put my finger on it. They feel refreshing around the barrage of "shoots this and kill that" games that are out there today. Don't get me wrong, I really like those types games. But sometimes even I, Deadpool, would like to play fetch with his giant Bird/Cat/Dog.

I have one question: Can I hold Falcor's hand?
Oh, please, say to me
You´ll let me be your man
and please, say to me
You´ll let me hold your hand
Now let me hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
And when I touch you i feel happy, inside
It´s such a feeling
That my love
I can't hide
