PSA: Brutal Legend demo now on Xbox Live; PSN must wait

Rocktober has come a little early to Xbox 360, as EA and Double Fine have made the Brütal Legend demo available for Xbox Live Gold members today. Weighing in at 1.57GB, the playable sneak peek is the same demo made available exclusively for pre-orders earlier this month.
While a PS3 version of the demo also already hit PSN for folks who reserved the game, the same can't be said for a "public" demo. According to a source close to the game's development, a demo is definitely planned for all PSN users -- it just won't be available right away. Given that the game takes the stage at retailers onOctober Rocktober 13, we'd hope EA intends to get the PS3 trial on the PlayStation Store within a few weeks.

Its a link to dl it while away from your xbox pops - not a code to allow you to dl it. Many of us are at work and remote queue game demos.

I heard the PSN demo comes out October 1st along with the Xbox Live Silver demo.

In a Major's Minute segment on the demo, Major Nelson mentions that it is exclusive to 360 gold members until October 1st.
Unclear whether that means it comes to PSN and silver members on that date, or just silver members.

Silver members almost always get the demo at the same time as PSN members, which is 1 week after Gold.

It wasn't for me.... I had seen the hype but not really read into anything and I downloaded it this morning and wasn't really impressed at all with the gameplay. The story might be funny/worthwhile but the gameplay just wasn't all there for me.
Not saying its a bad game, just that I probably won't be buying it. Hope you like it more than I did.

Joystiq, have any of you guys even played this yet? I don't remember seeing a hands on article. Looking through 2 pages of posts tagged Brutal Legend all I see is a hands on of the multiplayer...I didn't even know this had multiplayer. For all the hype you give this game you make it sound like it's an instant classic that you've beat a couple hundred times.

Gamestop (in my country at least) has a pre-order offer right now where you can trade two old games for either Uncharted 2, AC2, Bayonetta, Brutal Legend, Dragon Age and some others. Full list here: http://www.gamestop.no/pdf/q3_july_no.pdf
So i traded Jericho and Conan for U2, and Stuntman Ignition and Motorstorm (first one) for AC2. Pretty good deal I'd say. :) I want to get Brutal Legend, Dragon Age and Bayonetta too but the list of games I can sacrifice is getting smaller.
