Square Enix & PopCap team for puzzle RPG 'Gyromancer'
There's currently no scheduled release date for Gyromancer, but we've definitely had our fill of Puzzle Quest clones recently. Give it some time and, you know, something different. Then again, PopCap has a nasty habit of turning tired casual-gaming genres into gold.

You know it might just be because i haven't really played any pop caps games other then peggle and a little of Puzzle Quest so the nevelty hasn't worn out on me yet.
But it looks like a fun game.
Danthok @ Sep 24th 2009 1:49PM
You need to play Plants vs Zombies!
BigD145 @ Sep 24th 2009 3:08PM
P vs Z? Really? A tower defense game?
Robbie @ Sep 24th 2009 4:26PM
Seriously, get PvZ!
My friend finally convinced me (there's a free demo btw on their site www.popcap.com) to download it and wow, such a fun game. I don't know why I ever even doubted pop cap in the first place... They've yet to disappoint me.

Mmm, this makes me hungry. I could go for a gyro...
NukeAssault @ Sep 24th 2009 1:57PM

snowleopard233 @ Sep 24th 2009 1:58PM
Dang, beat me to it!
Man, I really need a gyro now.
NukeAssault @ Sep 24th 2009 1:59PM

Popcap just loves to steal my money!
*Goes back to playing plants vs. zombies*
Dance Mofo @ Sep 24th 2009 2:22PM
Are you or were you really playing Plants vs zombies?
AsherR [Planeteer | Power of The Hoff] @ Sep 24th 2009 2:04PM
So the people that brought me FF and Chrono Trigger are making a game with the people that brought me Peggle and Plants Vs Zombies?
Just make this as an app for WoW and a large % of the population on earth will loose the will to even eat.

No PSN, not interested.
Tonicboy @ Sep 24th 2009 2:47PM
It's amazing that the world did not just stop spinning.
Miku @ Sep 24th 2009 2:27PM
Absolutely! Best 10 dollars I ever spent on a game, if you ask me. Not super difficult but it's fun, quirky and addictive. Wall-nut bowling ftw!
Miku @ Sep 24th 2009 2:28PM
One of these days I will learn how to reply correctly, promise.
James Lockwood @ Sep 24th 2009 2:35PM
Can I pre-order XBLA games...?
Uncontrol @ Sep 24th 2009 2:49PM
i would love to play another GOOD puzzle rpg since galactrix was terrible
pika2000 @ Sep 24th 2009 2:53PM
Looks like a glorified Puzzle Quest? I was hoping for Final Fantasy vs Zombies.
watshisname08 @ Sep 24th 2009 3:40PM
Who would win in a fight...Tall-Nut or a Monk (like Tifa)?
Fight!
watshisname08 @ Sep 24th 2009 3:39PM
Oh my the line between Casual and Hardcore gaming is starting to blur...or has blurred a LOT more.
Square and PopCap? I don't think I'll be seeing the light of day with this, Zuma Revenge, Plants vs Zombies, Final Fantasy VII, XII, & XIII...
Kiss my social life goodbye.
Lurkero @ Sep 24th 2009 3:57PM
I disliked Bejewled Twist. Combining it with Puzzle Quest isn't enough to make me care
Rhamsey @ Sep 24th 2009 5:08PM
This is going to be like super crack to the gaming population.
Alzheimers @ Sep 24th 2009 6:30PM
Popcap didn't make PuzzleQuest -- Infinite Interactive did.
However, Popcap DID make the immensely entertaining Bookworm Adventures. If Square ever came out with a casual FF game as good, I'd be very happy.

Wow.. can definitely see the Puzzle Quest design elements all over it, but it looks AWESOME. Nice polish.
