As we discovered at E3 earlier this year, the PSP Go isn't compatible with your current PSP accessories, including the rarely-used PSP camera. With Invizimals coming to the PSP next year, we wondered if PSP Go owners would miss out on the fun. The good news: Sony's figured out a solution. The bad news? It looks like the picture you see above.
"With the new Converter Cable Adaptor, PSPgo users will be able to utilize the existing peripherals for PSP," Sony announced at Tokyo Game Show today. Peripherals like the 1Seg Tuner and GPS Receiver will be able to fit in the Go's proprietary "Multi use connector." Looking at the picture, this "cable" will wrap around the system, letting PSP Go owners plug new devices atop the system. Considering it adds a significant amount of bulk to the system, doesn't this conversion defeat the portable aspect of the Go entirely?

From the looks of those pictures, there's no way to actually open up the Go.
...This can't be right.

Because Sony is under contract to introduce at least 1 failure a year, I present to you the PSPgo. And they were having a decent year up to now...

Wasn't the whole point of PSP Go to make it smaller... And now this makes it bigger without whatever peripheral you attach. Soo you may as well buy a regular hand crampin PSP-3000.

The fucking thing is a parody of itself now. This is just sad. Like ... Gamecube level sad.

I just realized that this system isn't even out yet, and that surprised me.

Why didn't they just put a camera in it in the first place...I'm sure a re-design is not that far off...

What.... were they thinking? It's as if they were deliberately trying to destroy the current peripherals for no other reason then to mess with our minds! Oh well, there better be a good reason (Good reason being making money for momma Sony-a, most like)

Sony seriously needs to re-evaluate its competitors. It is only focussed on beating Apple, which sucks cause Nintendo is the one to be beat, not to mention that ZuneHD is gonna creep all of them from the behind !.
PSP-5000 has to be the real refresh, "PSP Slim" form factor, better battery life, PSN store integration, UMDs ( Yes, bargin bin UMDs FTW ! ), Memory Stick XC support, New processor + GPU (Tesla won't hurt), Dual Analogs
I shall now stop fantasizing.

I can't help but wondering how a company could put so much marketing and effort into such a poorly conceived system without some executive having the insight and courage to stand up in one of the meetings and say: "Wait a minute, WTF are you guys thinking?:". I mean seriously think of how many meetings and internal teams and surveys go into rolling out something and no one has the balls to stand up and say "for the love of God, let's not do this, it's freaking platform suicide.".
I'm CRAZY about my PSP 1000/2000 systems. I could be a salesman for those things but this product was literally designed to implode in the marketplace.

Sony is selling this alongside the "normal" PSPs, which is even more puzzling. It's like, hey, let's give this a shot, but to keep everyone happy (except gaming press), we'll still sell the older models that do alot more for less.
I can't understand why Sony even bothered with the Go. Ok, sure, piracy has hurt the platform big time. I get that. But why release such a crippled piece of hardware that has to have a Sega 32x brick plugged in just to use older peripherals? It's ridiculous. The price is ridiculous too.
Sometimes Sony startles me with the dumbass product mistakes they make. They could have had a big win with the Go if they had thrown on another analog nub (if you ignore the fact that you'd have to have spider hands to operate both and hold it).
