Everyone's favorite wartime photojournalist and Dead Rising protagonist Frank West was just confirmed to be a contender in Capcom's upcoming inter-franchise brawler, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. This news comes two weeks after a number of the game's assets, which indicated the appearance of West, Mega Man series regular Zero, and a bunch of anime characters we absolutely do not recognize, were leaked.
You can check out a video demo of West's brawling expertise after the jump. Know where he learned to fight that well? Probably from his recent encounter with the unyielding zombocalypse. (What did you think we were going to say? "Because he's covered wars?" That just doesn't make any sense. Think before you speak, silly goose.)
This game looks so bad ass ... are there any good fight sticks on the cheap for the Wii? I have the Hori fighting sick 3 but I don't want to spend a lot of dough ... maybe the gamecube controller is the best option, eh?
Franks looks bad ass though ... not sure whats up with the little mega man looking gun blast but the "batter up" is awesome. This little trailer sold me on the game. Now it's on my must buy list with Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2, Assassins Creed 2 and Gran Turismo PSP. Hopefully it has online multiplayer and hopefully it doesn't break the rhythm of the game like Smash Bros Brawl did.
the game has been comfirmed to have added online multiplayer for the US localization, and also, if you didn't have it on your "must buy" list when Viewtiful Joe was included in the original roster, you need to have this game on your "WANT NAO!!!" list.

Oh yeah this is on my must have now list. First Wii game to do that (to me) in a while now. But, I want a fight stick because the wii mote sucks for fighting games and the classic controller is also not very good for fighters. It looks like gamecube controller or bust with this game. I wish my PS3 one would work on the Wii.
johnnynumber5, IMO the classic controller has the best dpad in the history of all dpads ever. That alone makes it better for fighting games than any of the other standard console controllers.
It sounds nothing like him, either. I hope they change his voice for the US version, at least. He sounds entirely too happy. Frank does not laugh when he kills zombies!
He also really, really needs to say "FAAAAANTASTIC!" ...and..."I've covered wars, you know!"
Well, yeah, because you get a toy X-Buster in Dead Rising, that shoots toy pellets (if memory serves me right), but after clearing the game, you can get an X-Buster that actually fires energy shots (as well as a full Megaman X costume to go with either Buster).
What I meant is that he differentiates between the real one and the fake one. I hope the fake is a special taunt, like QCF + TAUNT. Kind of like Dan's special taunt.
Totally awesome. His move set is as silly as I would expect, and all his supers kick ass. I especially am loving the shopping cart flying out of nowhere!
The camera does help. When taken, a zombie come from behind and attacks them. it's within the first few seconds of this video. They also hurt frank if he doesn't hit them or used them like the swing throw
They NAILED him! When I saw Frank do the Hammer Throw, I knew they nailed his moveset. One thing, though, for the super when he throws the opponent into the air and then bats them, I don't remember that particular throw in Dead Rising. Was it in the game, or did they add it for this?
