True, I love Joystiq and all but it IS their job.
(Still love you Joystiq... in a completely platonic way of course)

that's why you get a JP PSN account and hope for the best that they'll release it as a digital download!!!

player uses the dualshock in 1 hand and the waggle wand in the other, just to clarify. Dear lord.... :(

If I understood the G4 liveblog, this won't be patched into RE5, but released as a director's cut of sorts. So yeah, gotta buy a whole new game just for waggle.

Yes thats indeed true. But, I'm sure the game won't require dual shock 3 in one hand and motion in the other. That won't fly at all. If so, thats a pure fail.

Follow the G4 liveblog, the guy(s) doing that are really good. LBP is also getting waggle support (which WILL be patched in) but it seems to be more like Mario Galaxy's co op than actual waggle.

Yeah I'm following the Live Blog. I don't think they would release this and require the player to use a DS3 and waggle mote. That's retarded. WHy not add analogue sticks to the motion controller? I won't be buying this new Resident Evil with Waggle unless it's implemented better.

At least it's coming reasonably soon and we have a concrete date. In the meantime I'll be playing the hell out of Gran Turismo PSP unlocking cars and what not. EPIC!!!!!
But, I also wish it was coming this Christmas.

I'm going out on a limb here but I think Gran Turismo 5 will be the best selling racing game of all time. I'm sure some Mario kart iteration has that title now but this game is going to redefine the standard for all racing games with the content they are providing for $60. I hope they have an uber special Modern Warfare esque hardcore edition. I'm all over it. I'm tired of the half assed racing games. I'm good with the arcade ones but the ones pretending to be realistic (NFS:Shift, Forza etc) aren't fulfilling my desires.

Lolololololololololololol C'mon Johnny...Forza less realistic than GT5??????????
BOTH of these games are arcade fluff with sim trappings. They look nice but the physics models are pretty ordinary in both.
For your information johnnynumber5 real racing sims start with names like GTR or rFactor or.........
They're exlusive too PC. Arcade games (GT5 and Forza 3) for the home arcade machines (PS3 and Xbox360)

AUS_JD,
you know whats funny top gear showed F1 racing car drivers pro racing drivers using GT, because the race tracks are nearly perfectly identical to the real race track, here the proof:
http://playstation.joystiq.com/2008/01/07/real-race-car-drivers-use-gran-turismo-to-train/
From Joystiq, I know this for a fact because a few years back The top gear presenters were talking to actual f1 drivers and they were admitting to using the then ps2 with GT to learn a couple of new tracks that had been put into the world championship..
also the logitech g25/g27 both work on the ps3 with GT

Um.. no!! Utter fail dude. By the time this game comes out (if EVER) people will have enjoyed the holiday racing titles and move on to other genres. GT is not that great anyways. Pretty yes.. but there are other racers on the market that are pretty and MORE fun. You know where this is going. Besides.. if you miss the holiday window.. you miss everything. No big crowds buy games in March. Nice try though.

... so it's coming to the US in May?
My prediction anyway, given GT4's release date.

Nah, probably like November or December 2010. The production time for GT games is outrageous. I understand they need to be "perfect" but why tease it if it's 4 years away? Vision GT was teased in 2006, and GT5 prolouge was barely finished in time. I love GT, but Forza had made excellent strides and pushed GT to innovate more in less than half the time. Kudos to both!

Oh yeah Polyphony is a TOTAL tease when it comes to anything Gran Turismo.
I remember when GT (PSP) was announced: before the PSP was even released!!
Now here we are FIVE AND A HALF YEARS LATER and it's finally almost here XD

Yeah, at least we know this mind-numbing wait will probably actually worth it.
Knowing the GT series, it'll be a fucking masterpiece.

lol just cause its GT you give it a free pass.... gtpsp is awful, and the series had barely evolved since gt1. Go from license tests to racing circuits, earn money collect cars.
it was probably pushed back after PD saw the progress of forza3 and re-evaluated their own game because of it. It took GT5 maybe 4-5 years to get to 65%, maybe march 2010 is being optimistic.

Sorry, but it's complete arrogance if you don't realise GT's formulaic license/race/collect mechanic hasn't changed in its whole lifetime and how they'd be unlikely to up their game because of Forza.
If people stopped sucking up to GT because it was once unrivaled and realised that Forza does a lot of fun things that GT doesn't, then they'd stop being such retarded little babies and accept Gran Turismo needs to change.
If it still requires license tests, then I won't be buying it. Why do I want to stop a car in a blue and white chequered box after 400 and 1000m for the fifth time in my life?
