TGS 2009: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker's epic 10-minute trailer

Hideo Kojima wasn't kidding around when he said his crack MGS4 development team was going for an epic, console-quality Metal Gear experience with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on PSP. This freshly released TGS 2009 trailer for the game is proof positive that Kojima Productions is putting its all into the release -- it looks absolutely amazing, clearly building on the presentation and gameplay of both MGS4 and MGS3: Snake Eater.

Of course, you don't just have to settle for the trailer. Once it's got you good and pumped up to choke out some fools as Big Boss himself, check our post from yesterday to down-la-li-lu-le-load the TGS demo for play on your very own PSP. How cool is that?

Even MGS4 didn't get me this excited.

This is going to be absolutely amazing.

just.. OMFG!

I'm looking forward to the game a lot, 3 was easily my favourite game in the series..
But I really hate Kojima's trailers. Shows far too much of the game and has more "fake endings" than Lord of the Rings.

So I'm going to try and avoid watching any of these, and play the game knowing as little as possible.

One question though, does it actually continue on from Portable Ops? I'm not sure where that game is supposed to fit into the timeline.

You said it, epic trailer, this`s gonna be amazing regardless of the new controls.

i suspect there will be an army comprised hundreds of big boss clones! boss' daughter's (or lesbian lover's) intentions will turn out to mirror boss'. and strangelove? that's a little flagrant! kubrick is rolling over in his grave. oh, and i guess the philosopher's legacy is used to create outer heaven? i hope this details how the patriots come to power and why they go underground. if big boss is part of patriots, does that mean he's bringing it down from the inside?

gotta buy a psp.

That was sooo epic, am I the only one that feels they should of made this for the PS3? a true successor to MGS3

I think, I will skip this entry... in fact I'm finished with the Metal Gear Solid Franchise all together. Part 4 was the last one for me, that tied up all the lose ends, and I just dont want to restart this series ..... too soon.... same applies to Halo series... no ODST for me.... Just gotta finish Gears of War series and SHENMUE SERIES (if EVER)!!!

I've downloaded the demo but I have no knowledge of how to "un-zip" it so I can play it. HELP!!!

Nevermind...I got lucky!!!

I hope they come out with an English version of this trailer because it's hard for me to tell who is actually speaking at moments. I would like to be able to differentiate between The Boss, Big Boss/Snake so I can better predict what is going to happen in the game.

I might just buy this game and use my little brother's PSP, since he hasn't played it in about three years. This game looks like an actual MGS title, which makes me bad about Rising.

Kojima will probably be the missing piece of the puzzle for that game.

This is going to be, the greatest fucking game ever fucking released.

The demo is AMAZING. The graphics, the controls- I love it! I don't understand a god damn word those Japanese people are saying, but I understand this is the second coming of whatever messiah it may be- and it fucking rules.

Judging by the demo, it's gonna rank right up there with MGS and MGS3 in terms of the best ever.
