TGS 2009: Take a break from the MGS Peace Walker demo for these screens

Our new gallery includes not only screenshots (featuring many Snakes crouching in front of all kinds of different things), but renders and Yoji Shinkawa character artwork for Snake and the new characters. Check out Snake's armor! There's also some new Ashley Wood artwork (the stuff with the yellow and red highlights) that exemplifies the art style used in the cutscenes. But we're guessing you know that by now.

This is for PSP? Graphics look awesome, could mistake them for ps2.

I doubt actual anti-aliasing is this good.
I'm still bitter that my 3000 model screen got full of scanlines when large scale quick moving object is involved - effectively halfing the resolution.

If the specs on Wikipedia are correct, PSP is comparable in power to a PS2:
333MHz R4000 32bit core w/8MB RAM on PSP vs
299MHz R5900 64bit core w/32MB RAM on PS2
Back on the topic, the demo requires firmware 6 (or 5.5), but for "some reasons" I'm stuck at 5.03. The graphics are really impressive, and I wish I could try this game.

You might have to go to sony.com and download the new firmware. That's what I had to do at least when I wanted to play FFVII on my PSP. It wouldn't update automatically for me.

Taylor obviously didn't get the "some reasons".

Great graphics! I'm hoping for an eventual PS2 port, since I don't have/desire a PSP.

What the hell...

Well I don't have a PSP, but I'm a MGS addict, so I'm dying to play this. I don't know anyone who has a PSP either, so I won't get to enjoy the coop modes in the game even if I do go buy the system.
So because of all that, I'm hoping it gets the same port-to-PS2 treatment the PSP's Silent Hill Origins, Twisted Metal, and Ratchet and Clank games got.

Just tried the demo. I couldn't figure out how to do anything! It took me a minute to figure out their "select" button is circle instead of our X. I couldn't figure out how to open the gate on the beach so that's where it ended for me. The game looks amazing though.

You have to throw a grenade at it. Yeah, took me ages to work that out. *Shame*

Thanks for the tips XD

I like the fact that there's some really detailed character models in the gallery, so MAAAYBE a HD version of the game isn't completely unlikely. God I'd love Kojima to even more bits than before if he made that happen.
