You captured the heart of what I wanted to say.

That's exactly why I pay ALOT more attention to Sony's first party titles.

90% of the PS3 titles I own are first party.

I've been saying it all along you can rag on sony for their pricing and their push to get blu-ray in homes and whatever else. but you can't say they don't release a ton of great games, arguably more than any other publisher.

I thought the sensible readership here would be better able to recognize sprinktard when they see him and not bother, but oh well I guess.

C'mon guys,do you really think this guy would ever give a damn about this game. After all it's on a Sony platform so it's already garbage and a failure in his eyes.

I'm glad that, at this point, it doesn't seem as if the Co-Op revolution has made its way to Team Ico. The previous two Team Ico games were great at making the player feel a sense of isolation (Yorda never conversed after all, nor did Agro) and I think making TLG co-op would have ruined that. Team Ico is one studio that I hope continues to make solitary narratives. I get enough multiplayer gaming out of every FPS game that comes out, and I really don't need it from the other genres

I have a feeling that the sales of The Last Guardian, or maybe the pre-launch hype, will determine if we'll get a God of War style Blu-Ray pack of Ico and SOTC. Both games did relatively poorly in the US (Ico did much worse than SOTC here, but SOTC didn't sell that great either) so it isn't as if they could bank on the name of the two games to sell a bunch of copies. It's a shame, because I've seen SOTC running at 1080p, and it was stunning. I can only imagine that Ico would benefit just as much from the added resolution.

Anyone want to take a guess at the chances of us getting the game during any time period other than Q4 2010? That is my guess for the launch window.

What does any of this have to do with how awesome The Last guardian is? Who cares if developers are having a hard time getting awesome graphics like Uncharted 2. I don't think it would have been achievable if it wasn't.

It was a digression, I admit, but I believe that he is suggesting that the delay was due to the fact that the team is/was having trouble figuring out the PS3. So it's not totally irrelevant.

"NOTHING about this game or this interview or the shitty trailers tells me what it's about or if it has any depth or soul to it."

And yet... Final Fantasy...

Because the development team has made 2 games in the past and those 2 games were some of the best games EVER MADE.

The hype will die down when they disappoint people.

Since everyone else is beating around the bush, this game is getting so much hype just to spite you. It's a terrible game that probably will never ever be released, the marketing is just a tease. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were distributed to every single person in the world except you as a massive ploy of being a part of the worlds largest practical joke: To get people loving a bunch of games and clamoring for a spiritual successor that doesn't even exist, just so you can feel left out and get a rise out of you.

Yes, I just ruined ten years of planning, and I have no regrets.

"Many gamers may have missed Ico or Shadow of the Colossus on PS2. Do you, or Sony, have any plans to reintroduce those games on the PS3?

There isn't any concrete activity on that, but I do have a great interest in it."

YES!

If I remember correctly, Ico was a CD based game. Therefore further compression would be ideal as a PSN release. Do it Sony.

I just wrote a theory on how the Last Guardian relates to Shadow of the Colossus and ICO. This could be a spoiler (so you've been warned).
