There are a lot of LittleBigPlanet DLC packs out there. However, thanks to a tip submitted by Marius, you can get access to one pack absolutely for free. Sony Wonder is giving away free codes for the "Norse Mythology" content pack, which adds all sorts of costumes and stickers for inquisitive creators. All you need to do is have a US PlayStation Network account and click here. It's as easy as that.
[Thanks, Marius!]

I tried the code I got from the site, but it says that it's either not correct or no longer valid. Couldn't get a different code from the site either.

Alright, I tried another web browser and got a different code. This one did work though, and I just downloaded the pack. I haven't played LBP in a long time though, I usually just get all the free costumes and packs anyways. Heh...
These were my codes, if they work for anyone:
PFJD-5BBN-DIK7
AFGR-6DB9-XRE4

If you have issues with your code, please clear your cache and load the site again. You will be given a new code. It may take a couple times, but you will get your DLC.

First code didn't work on ps3 or on computer and I tried it about 5 times. Generated a new code in another browser and immediately entered it into redeem code via my computer and it worked first time. I think that you have to do it quickly as they may give the same code to multiple users since you can redeem most codes up to 3 times. Just a thought.

Yeah, took me 3 tries to get a working code. If one didn't work I just cleared my cookies/cache and got a new one. Seems pretty shady on Sony's part.

Took me one try and it came within a minute. Although I found out about this almost an hour ago, but it shouldn't make that much of a difference.
Btw, this is a great way to get people playing LBP again. I know multiple stages are created daily, but sometimes you need to be given a reason, hopefully the creators start rlsing more official stages as dlc or something. No knock on the creations out there, many have blown my mind.

It's not free. I may not be spending money, but I'm spending too much of my time waiting for the pages to load, only for them to either time out or to give me an incorrect code, so I have to start from the beginning. I've still yet to get anything to work, and I'm not too optimistic here. It's taking so long, I'm wondering if it's worth it to just throw down the money so I don't have to bother with this anymore. Some "helpful" promotion there...

Sony Wonder. It's a Wonder how they thought they were competent enough to do this "generous offering" correctly and headache-free.

Joystiq, PLEASE edit this post and strikethrough "It's as easy as that."
Finally, on my 5th code, after a couple hours of waiting and waiting, I have it. I do wonder, though, if it's worth all the waiting. Like I said, it's not free, because I paid in time. Hopefully, next time "Sony Wonder," or whoever's responsible, does this, they'll make it a bit less of a nightmare.

Good lord man, that's an awful lot of whining over a freebie that normally costs $4.99(I think?). It took me 4 tries to get the right code, and since I don't have to save the world or make millions with my time, I'm fine with it.

Allow me to explain myself. Though I usually don't abuse it like this, I am a very active Twitter user, and when I'm upset, I may tend to give live updates, so you see the same philosophy here (and maybe that's why people hate Twitter). Also, I had a rough night last night, so I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing. Seems like, some days, I give very productive comments, and other days, I come across as a douche. In any case, I apologize if I annoyed anyone last night (and looking at the downvotes, I know I did).

I got one no problem. If when you click "Redeem" it's not loading on whatever browser you're trying on - just try a diff browser. That's what I did, first code I got worked.
Posted: Sep 27th 2009 12:48AM linebeginstoblur said
For me, it takes way too long to load on Firefox, but in Chrome, it doesn't even try. I even tried IE, and it won't even take me to the Redeem page.

4 different computers, each with 2 different browsers, and a Windows Mobile phone with Opera. I've had no less than 8 different codes, and none of them work. Two completely different computers had the same code--not even sure how that should be possible. This deal stinks, and bad. Is anyone having any luck with this right now, or is it just a waste of my time? I had planned on playing some games tonight, but have spent over an hour on this inadvertently.

Just found out why sometimes it doesn't work...
There's too many people trying to get codes from the page and the webservice can't generate them fast enough so it gives the same code to multiple requests. Then when you try to redeem it there's a high chance that someone else already redeemed it.
This is what I did to get it though...
Go to the online account management website: https://store.playstation.com/login.gvm
Sign in, then under the Transaction Management group click on the "Redeem PlayStation®Network Card or Promotion Code" link then leave that page open.
Clear your cookies from your browser to get another code from http://www.us.playstation.com/sonywondergames/default.aspx
Quickly switch to the account management page you left open and type the new code..
It should work but if it gives you this error message, "This code has already been redeemed the maximum number of times." just try again.
After you redeem the code from the website, just go to your PS3 and hit the PS store, it should be waiting for you in the Downloads list.

Hey, thanks...I don't go the whole nine yards, but it finally worked.
Keep trying, that's all I can say, and follow the Mex's instructions (you don't need to go clear cookies, I took the lazy man's way, but clearing cookies might speed things up).
ALSO...
Do not use Safari. Their website ate sh1t on it right when I was trying to confirm the download. So I had to go back and re-use Firefox to go thru all these steps again.
It's not that people are whining about a $5.00 purchase. it's just that when somebody says they are giving you something for free, it's highly desired that those people keep their word. Otherwise it feels like an miserable empty promise.

Well I have tried up to 30 codes and they all say invalid. I checked the letter casing and numbers AND their sequences and still get the invalid message. I guess I should not complain if its free, but this was one of the packs I was interested in, but not really wanting to pay for. Ah well, it would have made me play LBP once again as a viking. It goes back on the shelf. Hope everyone else has better luck. I mean 30 times.... why did I try it for that long. lol.

My other question is why not just make it available for free off PSN say for 3 days? Then close it. Ah well, the redeem code thing for games is starting to bug me. lol. Good luck everyone.
