Metallica - 1997 Gorge Amphitheater in Washington state.

Half way through playing "One", someone threw a glass beer bottle at Jason Newsted and it nailed him right in the head, smashing to pieces. He limped off stage, then the others noticed, threw their equipment down and fallowed him off. I'm 16 years old at the time and I remember being in the front up against the gate 15 feet or so away from the band. I look behind me at the 25,000 people at the sold out show and I just think, "oh man, if they don't come back out, this could be bad."

A few minutes later all of them come back out on stage. James says: "I can't tell you to do anything outright to the person who did this, but if you see him I'm sure you know what to do". Right then they jump back into the song at the EXACT moment they stopped playing without missing a beat. I and thousands of other people just started going nuts as they played on like nothing happened at all.

Most rocking moment I experienced: in the crowd at the Smashing Pumpkins' legendary world premiere show for Mellon Collie. They rocked so hard a transformer caught fire, and then they kept on rocking.

My favorite rock moment? Downloading the entire Metallica Discography immediately after hearing they were trying to shut down Napster, just to spit them.

My first real big concert with my first real date with a girl I was crazy about. We went to see Pearl Jam (Bad Religion opened) at Cal Expo ampitheater (which is now closed) It had to be 100 degress out but it was a perfect day. Eddie had control of the crowd, the band played a great set. They were about to leave but Eddie said "Hold on, turn the house lights on. I want to play one more and they closed with Yellow Ledbetter which is one of my favorite songs of all time. Later that night I got my first kiss with my dreamgirl. It was 14 years ago but I can remember it like it was yesterday.

Favorite rock and roll moment? Probably when I first heard "Crazy Train."
It marked my introduction to the genre, so I'd consider it important.

If it's rock 'n roll moments of history....then I'd have to say Jimi Hendrix burning his guitar at Monterey Festival. In my mind, that is the true symbol of rock music. Simply amazing. Wish I was old enough to have been able to be there.

All great rock 'n' roll moments are by definition unrememberable, due to extreme drunkenness. But maybe the time I did that one thing on the drums. That kind of shines through the haze.

I'd have to say it's a toss up between being 10 and seeing The Wings (my first live concert to witness ever) and still remembering the light show to "Live Or Let Die" or being at a soundcheck around the same age for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Best: In 1984, Watching Bruce Sprigsten and the E Street band at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky. When a young Jenna Elfman flashes her sweater puppies at the band among the vapors of sweet Mary Jane.

Worst: In 1994 when my mom flashes her boobs at Tom Jones among the vapor of aspercreme!

I've been in therapy ever since.

Going to Summer Sanitarium tour in Seatlle in the then brand new Seahawks Stadium (Qwest Field now). MudVayne, Def Tones, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, and of course Metallica. I was a total gimp from a car accident not to soon before and It still rocked my ass off. I would kill to go to another similar tour again.
