Weekly Webcomic Wrapup's cup runneth over

The gaming webcomic community really brought their A-Game this week. When given the choice of "going big" or "going home," they clearly chose the former. You could say they went to town. You might even say they went to town in a Lincoln. In recognition of their efforts, we decided to break our weekly cap of seven strips, bumping the total up to a nice, round 10. We hope you don't mind the extra reading.

Set some time aside to check out our 10 favorite webcomics from the past week, listed below. Don't forget to factor in a bit of extra time to vote in the poll. Given the surplus, it'll probably take you a bit longer to deliberate. Don't give up! We thrive on your democratic input.

Yep, poor Robin. He always has to deal with Batman's junk hanging upside down, dangling in the wind.

I think he was talking more about the Boy Wonder losing his manhood... but who really shaves down there, anyway?

So in other words, he said Robin is a queer. Well, I guess I could go with that. Batman needs to teach him how to be a man.

I've known a few women who find hair to be unattractive, and yes they do include that area as well. So I've known a few guys who claim to shave for their girlfriend. (Haha, I just typed girlfiend... maybe I should've left it).

I can also think of a few people who shave because for some reason they prefer it like... without a woman telling them!

You just blew my mind, Shadowbender. You reminded me of one of my past experiences. I can remember it like it was yesterday...

Prepare To Drop Dollars all the way. I need to show this to my friends that actually think ODST is a full game. I keep explaining to them, if it was a full game, it wouldn't have the title "Halo 3" in it. I guess they just can't grasp that concept. Plus, the campaign is super short.

This webcomic rocked.

It takes about 7-8 hours to beat, depending on how many achievements you go for. Most FPS games these days are rated around 7-9 hours, so it's not that far off.

Besides, Firefight and the three new maps are extremely fun. Now if only they'd made them a download code rather than a separate disc, that way I'd only have 2 discs instead of 3 to worry about.

When it rains, it pours. There are a lot of good strips this week; most weeks I don't feel like voting for anything.

I voted for the first Batman strip, it managed a bit more subtlety and restraint than the second one.

I voted for dipswitch for it's lack of subtlety and restraint.

I agree, overall I think a pretty great week for the wrapup. Voted for PvP, as I really enjoyed the consistent hardcore look on Batman's face in each panel. I loved Brawl, but I dunno if I can give it the nod in that it's nothing more than a Where's Waldo. Dipswitch continues to be a little too crass and over the top for me, but maybe I should lighten up since I'm voting for something with upside down dribbling pee.

Hey Griffin, why is Sidescroller in the wrapup *every* single week? I agree with what the other guy said; crickets. Always crickets.

Why is it every time I see a comic from Sidescroller, I hear crickets?

Well, for the most part, I don't care much for Sidescroller... but, that one actually was a little funny.

Half because it's true.

I liked it.

Digital Unrest was just stupid. I don't think I would've laughed even if I did hate the guts out of Halo.

I think if you did hate the guts out of ODST, or even if you didn't love the guts out of it, you would find it funny... because honestly, it was pretty good. Not amazing, but good.

I agree. It feels like we've had this discussion a million times over already. Bungie has already released several statements and videos trying to justify their side of the argument. Rabid fanboys/girls and many others have also tried to argue against the game's price.

I feel like it's a little played out now though. The comic seemed like it would've been funnier if it came out right after the news about the price of the game hit the web.

I just found meh, it wasn't even funny at all.

And I really don't like Halo at all.

Yeah, that's why I didn't find that one so great. If it did work, it would've been funnier.

This is a pretty good week. The first time I really had to think about my vote.

Nerf Now made me feel a little verklempt... talk amongst yourselves!

I didn't like most of 'm, as usual. BitF's premise was good, the execution was horrible though.
My vote goes to Tough Times, cause I think it's fairly funny to see what video game characters would be like in a recession, and it was drawn well.

Drawing a Blank was my favorite. It had the best expressions.

Brawl in the Family, mostly due to the little details (like Bongo Bongo and Andross hand-wrestling, or Baby Bowser and the artist from Kirby 64 comparing notes)

Sidescroller was actually pretty good, for once. I would have liked PvP if they hadn't felt the need to have him pissing...

Is R.O.B. crafting a Devils Tower out of mashed potatoes like in Close Encounters of the Third Kind? Am I seeing that right?

Dipswitch actually made me laugh out loud, which I rarely do. I don't even normally vote for the comics, but I had to vote this week. Truely awesome.

Dipswitch and Penny Arcade both made me lol

The drawing of Robin is just killing me, I've looked at it 4 times and laughed every single time.

Wait, what! A week where every single comic is funny, or at least acceptable(possible exception being Sidescroller)? What's going on?

That was a tough call, but I ended up going with dipswitch because I did NOT see that coming

The joke is 'Robin wears underpants, is not a juvenile, and shouldn't have Virginia Creepers or Monkey Tail coming out the sides of his shortie shorts when he clings to the back of a man dressed in a leather cape.
