The Japanese hardware sales are one of my favorite articles every week, Griffin seems to be able to bring something creative every week.

Keep on going Griffin!

Wait.... dammit.

i think it got a boost since i bought one yesterday (my local best buy didn't have DSi's in stock). that's the only logical explanation.

The fact that Soul Silver is outselling Heart Gold (even if it is just by 10k) makes me a sad panda.

You people really don't know how to play Pokemon.

Lugia > Ho-oh

Therefore:

Heart Gold > Soul Silver

In Heart Gold you can get Lugia at lvl 40 (if I remember correctly) and if you train him he will be much more powerful than if you trained Lugia from lvl 70 in Soul Silver.

Noobs :P

The higher the sales of your chosen console, the more sexually appealing you are to your desired counterpart. 1.00% fact!

Quite a spike in the handheld area and the PS2 seems to be selling like hotcakes.

Interesting.

Maybe technically but they've been hovering around 20K and under for while now with some peaks and valleys.

The spike is over. what matters now is how fast or slow it declines from that spike. Well until FF13 hits of course

spike denotes a sharp rise and sharp drop. its really the wrong term if sales continue at this level or only slowly decline over time.
i wonder if sales will increase more (in absolute, since % will likely not be comparable) from FFXIII than it did from the slim/price drop? id guess not, but maybe...

Im not saying the PS3 is doomed now. Think about what a spike is. its the moment(a week in this case) in time when something hits the top relative to the surrounding data points. The spike was last week when it was higher than the surrounding weeks.

With sales number like this, no wonder Nintendo is cutting 5000Yen off Wii price.

I cheer for the PS3 because of my love for overblown RPGs filled with awful voice acting. (Obviously, Star Ocean 4 coming out for XBOX360 first was just a mistake.)

You mean "awful ENGLISH voice acting."

Funny M$ is willing to pay loads of money for those "overblown RPGs" to come out on 360 first.

Seems that the PS3's drop is slowing. If it stops in this general area, it's great news for them.
