Yeah, I saw this lastnight too....(700MB+) and I must admits, SE are still the kings of CG.....watching this in 1080p was sex to my eyes. Atleast the gameplay shown seems to have the characters at a higher level, taking more damage and I saw a few new techniques I haven't before. I think I have seen enough and will be skipping everything further until the game is released, cause at this point everything just continues to spoil it for me (and Lord knows we've had enough for this game)

I only caught a few words, but nothing terribly relevant. I rely on subtitles...
Does this trailer come a little too close to the uncanny valley, or is that just me? They're creeping me out.

I don't care that we don't know what's going on in the trailer, I'm just happy that we at least got some new footage than just a bunch of recycled clips.
In addition, does anyone feel just a little creeped out with a feeling that Snow might be kissing an underaged girl in the beginning of the trailer?

Nah, not creeped out. If they're both of similar maturity (or immaturity) then there's no problem.

How on earth can you assume that she's under age?

I think he means that she's under 18, which looks plausible to me.
Also, I should add...
"Nah, not creeped out. If they're both of similar maturity (or immaturity) then there's no problem."
And if they're not, then there's still not necessarily a problem.

I got that feeling too. It begs a question, what is the legal age of consent in Japan?
Also, if she's Snow's fiance, does that mean she's gonna be Aeris'd somewhere in the course of the game? That one brief scene with the grey slimy junk certainly got my attention.

Well I think the average legal in the world is 16, but in Japan it can be as young as 13 :/

That's true, but I don't think Japan's laws are having that much of an influence on this game.
Perhaps they're just more open about love.

Just checked out the trailer with the English subs over on Youtube. Basically, the Serah girl is Snow's fiance, and Lightning's little sister.
Also, I'm much more willing to bet now that Serah will be Aeris'd during the game.

Everyone is too beautiful in this game.
Also, I really want to be able to play this with Japanese voices.

Why Microsoft!!!!! Could have been playing this game THIS year

Actually, it might've had a simultaneous release this year, or at least january. They already said that the english voice overs are 100 percent done and have been aiming to make their "overseas" releases closer to the japanese release. And they also said that they were translating the PS3 version to the 360 version.

Snowblind, I disagree. SE said they were going for an International same release and if I recall correctly, they finished all dialogue a little while ago.
Either way, 360 can't be helping our cause.

I thought i remember reading that they are including the Japanese language track

Man, if they release the 360 version with only one language track on a single disc I'll be pissed. I mean, I'd much rather switch discs than be stuck with one language track. That is, unless it's already on multiple discs and and with the language tracks it would be like 8 discs or something. Hmm.

I highly doubt she actually will, though. They're just trying to get our minds working to hype up the game.

seems she'll be the new aeris.
*starts sobbing*
They weren't kidding when they said a month ago that sera/sara is even prettier than the other females. Wow. I think I've fallen in love with a fictional person.
*continues sobbing*

FF games are always plot-heavy with many revelations. A game like this, which has an excellent chance of becoming the best selling game of all time, should have a world wide release. Between December and April there are going to be spoilers everywhere, and any avid gamer is going to have a very difficult time not seeing them, no matter how hard they try.

The talk in the beginning seem to imply that the loli girl is Lightning's little sister. Maybe what the dude is saying is that Lightning will be his big sister (sister-in-law), since he's lovey-dovey with her sister?

Then, those army guys barge in and I'm not sure what they're saying. Then Lightning says to that young dude that he can run away and doesn't have to die.
And then in the middle when that dude (what's his name lol) comes running up to the young girl he talks about some mission and he wants them to do it together. Then Lightning is talking to someone saying how she wanted to grow up fast to protect her little sister after their father died. She mentions that she threw away her actual name and took the name Lightning because she thought that would help her grow up faster :S
And then she says it didn't help but rather hurt her sister.
Blah blah blah, then that young dude is with some old dude (his father?) and says he'll leave after resting a while, and his father replies "your life is here!"
... anyone wants me to carry on? :S

I was pretty excited for the game up until this trailer. Then again, I haven't really watched any videos for it up until now. The game mechanics look very... dated. Seems like a dramatic step backwards from what FF12 brought to the table. Despite not being a fan of FF11, maybe FF14 will be more fitting to my taste...

Why is it the last 3 FF games have almost the exact same character design? Don't get me wrong, the game looks great and all but I'm seriously getting sick of these Cloud/Sora hybrid lovechild character designs.
