PSA: Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo is live for all on PSN

If you didn't pre-order, reserve or otherwise "guarantee" your day-one copy of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (we hear the game's pretty good!), your waiting to try out the game's life-eating multiplayer modes has come to an end. As promised by Naughty Dog, the multiplayer demo for Nate Drake's latest adventure is now available (albeit a bit behind schedule) via the PSN's PlayStation store for everyone.

If you own a PS3, it's pretty much your honor-bound duty to download it. You should also track down your pre-orderin' friends and prove that the head-start they got on you isn't going to help them in the slightest. (Insert diabolical laughter)

Sweet, just downloaded, good game of the year contender.

The multiplayer demo is great, and some of the best graphics i've ever seen in a game (if not the best). I don't like how the matches quit after you end a round and have to start a new game thats just dumb... Ultimately I can't help but wonder what Socom *could* have been this console gen if it used this engine.

According to metacritics score of 20 critic reviews, Uncharted 2 is tied as the second highest rated game in history.

how in the world did GTA:IV become the highest scoring game in history at 98 (same as u2's score)?????

woops.... ocraina of time is the highest. and now U2 is at 97, so as of now it is the 3rd best rated game in history tied with 6th and 5th gen games

If Uncharted 2 stays at 98 MC rating, you better believe you'll be hearing people complain about how overrated it is, as well.

Not everyone's going to like a game, and it seems the higher rating a game receives, the more vocal that minority becomes about promoting their disdain for it.

It's a shame, really, because taking GTAIV as an example, there are plenty of better things to talk about regarding the game than the idea that certain individuals didn't like the game as much as reviewers did.

I've been getting my ass kicked my the people who pre-ordered the game at game stop. I need to unlock more boosters!

I played in the First Beta....and My first game in yesterday I had like 15 kills and leveled up to 4....I was in first place ahead of some level 20 & 27 people...lol...it was funny...

how do u unlock the boosters cuz i dont ave em for some reason and im already like lvl5

Get to 10 and you will unlock a decent booster

The PS3 hasn't caught my interest until this year. Lots of good games out now or on the horizon.

Though I still appreciate my 360, the PS3 will enter my inventory soon.

He's got a good idea here.
Release a demo on XBL then when you finish the demo have a message "Full game exclusive to PS3"
Then the 360 users would see what they're missing!

hahahahahaha, as if the xbox could handle the DEMO of uncharted. Whenever you would try to load it up, the xbox would instantaneously combust and leave only the front led lights with RRoD flashing. Its too much for the system. Oh and if anyone comments "that's what she said" for the previous sentence, I will officially give up on the internet.

Demo keeps freezing for me, after about 5 mins of running. Even the XMB won't respond. I have to hard reboot the system to break the freeze. PS3 is a new Slim model. Is anyone else having these issues? Firmware is of course up to date. Thank you.

I've had that issue with other games but not Uncharted 2. That damn Zombie Apololypse game has been doing it a lot though and I'm on a launch model PS3

I had the same problem in the beta. When it did work fine for me, it still powered off the system when I quit playing. It was a well known bug at the time, surprised it is not fixed by now.

Thanks for the replies. I had the beta and I remember the power off thing, but it never froze for me during gameplay. I was using a 40GB PS3 then, I have a slim now. I can't even watch a recorded match or stay logged into the MP options now without the game freezing. Hopefully when the MP is on the retail disc after release, this won't happen then.

leo are you running 3.01 or just 3.00 ? You have to manually update to run 3.01 it wont auto update and 3.01 fixes some stability issues.

Uncharted 2 hasn't caused me problems, but I am on the MAG beta (damn the game rocks its so freaking awesome) after the cut off period, they only run the game between 5-10 i think they cut it off and then 12-4 once it cuts off it crashes my ps3, dont know why but its happened twice it locks it up completely and I have to reboot.

Also I was in home went to go to the live stage area and that caused my ps3 to lock up twice in a row, havent been back since.

I think this new firmware still has issues, 3.10 coming in october apparently will include cross game voice chat as well and hopefully will fix these issues..

Hi sc00by_y00, yeah it's on firmware 3.01. When I go to system update and try to update, it says I am on the latest firmware.

Brotherhood of Steel did that at least twice during the whole duration I played it. Surprisingly buggy...

damn i need a ps3. too bad i don't gots the money. why can't living/school be free so I can focus on more important things..

i wonder if my download is finished. i started it hours ago, but last time i checked it was at a measly 25%. I wonder how many hundreds of thousands of people are downloading it simultaneously?

Actually, I downloaded the whole thing in about 45 minutes. It installs incredibly quick as well. Not bad for 1.3 GB.

Play the co-op dude ... it's a good fix for that action.

I know what you mean man. I'm tired of hearing about the lame multiplayer, just give me the single player!

Anybody know of a way to explore the maps without other players? I know I know, kinda like asking for a cheeseburger without the burger itself. I just want to free roam the maps and take in the design.
