From the day Atari first announced it would be doing a new video game installment in the Ghostbusters franchise to the day said installment was released, we had to maintain a careful linguistic balancing act. We had to ration out quotes and references to the Ghostbusters films in our posts, working tirelessly not to exhaust our resources. We made it to the game's release by the skin of our teeth -- but earlier today, Atari did us the great discourtesy of announcing that the title is coming to PSP. We've just ... we've got nothing left.
The debut trailer for the title is posted above. It looks like a fairly faithful recreation of the console versions, only, y'know, tinier. It's got a launch window of November, meaning you can look forward to a month of uncreative, reference-free posts from our end. Just make sure you don't ... cross the ... oh, forget it.

Given the PSP renditions of LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm, Resistance, Assassin's Creed, Valkyria Chronicles, PixelJunk Monsters, echochrome, Super Stardust, Everyday Shooter, flOw, and Gravity Crash, you could easily say the PSP also makes PS3 games portable. Heck, with the PS1 Classics on PSN and the remakes of PS1 games, it makes PS1, PS2, and PS3 games portable. Unfortunately, PS0 is a DS game.

I was hoping to hear about a remake of the Genesis version.

I would have preferred a remake of the NES version myself, if only to hear the garbled bliss of "GHHSSSBASSSTRZ!" come from the PSP speaker as I pressed start.

Yes, but then the project was delayed, then put to a halt and now, restarted.

Does Atari even have 40 million left? I don't even think the company is worth that much...

This is great... for everyone who hasn't played and finished it already.
Seriously how well are they expecting this game to sell? It was a good game but do they think people are going to go out and buy the PSP version when they have already played one of the 5 other versions?
Waste of time and money on Atari's part.

I think the idea is to count on the people who DIDN'T buy any of the console versions. Since the story is exactly the same in every version there's no reason for anyone to buy a second version unless they just want the more child friendly, cartoony version.

Because the PSP screen is smaller than a TV screen, right?

I figured it was a joke--or an attempt at one. But it really isn't funny.
I'm guessing that you don't know anyone with a disability--certainly don't have anyone in your family with one. Otherwise you wouldn't be saying things like that.
I hate people that are politically correct, but comments like yours are just distasteful and not necessary. You, my friend are whats wrong with society. I mean most people with special needs can't even defend themselves from crap like what you said. So why say it?

I'm busting on a game publisher for releasing a game almost 6 months AFTER it was released on everything else. If the game was released the same time (or even a month) after the other 5 versions that wouldn't be a big deal. But almost 6 months after.... seriously anyone who wanted to play it picked it up on one of the 5 other systems it was one.
From a business stand point it seems like a very bad move on Atari's part, they invested a lot in making the game (I really hope all they did was porting the game over from the PS2 version that would have cost less) and will be lucky to make their money back.
It's one of those situations where you have to think was it worth it.

Although I understand you were joking Shimrra, your execution was poor. Something more along the lines of maybe:
"Why do they all look like they belong in Twilight?"
That would have been much more acceptable. I don't think there are any vampires and/or werewolves here who would be offended.

Honestly, I'm not offended by what you said--please don't confuse my disapproval with being offended. I just feel bad for people with disabilities who are being made fun of for a condition of which they were BORN with and can't help the way they look or act. Therefore, look at my comments as a public service to you and others that have no sense of humor.
This isn't PC bullshit--this is not me saying, "oh don't call them retarded--call them handicapped". This is me saying that what you said isn't funny. And I don't ever hear people with Down Syndrome saying "look at those normal people--they are so funny looking". So why would you?
And you're right people with disabilities are very funny. They are so funny that they are 1000 times funnier than you will ever be. And no, I don't laugh when people say 'retard'.
Obviously you keep getting low ranked--so that must mean that you are half as smart as the half-stupid average person that you talk about?
