There's one major thing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 possesses that its insanely hyped competitors lack: A liberal dose of good old fashioned profanity. Of course, we haven't played said competitors, but we can't imagine another game's characters drop bombs of the "S" and "F" varieties as freely as those seen in the trailer above. Well, except for the two agents in House of the Dead: Overkill, but that's a special, special exception.
Fortunately, it looks like there's some solid action in there to accompany all the dirty words. Check out the trailer for an uncut, uncensored and unsuitable for work gameplay chunk from a multiplayer match in BBC2. The game, that is -- not the brainy British television channel.

I found Bad Company 1 to be the best sounding game I'd ever heard. Followed by Dead Space. Those sound techs at EA know what they're doing.

I really think that this shouldn't have caved to the release date pressure and would've really put up a good fight with modern warfare 2. it looks amazing, super polished graphics, sound (like the last one!), and i'm sure the story is just as funny as bc1

Actually, this game is one of the reasons why I'm not getting MW2. Still, people probably would have flocked to MW2 anyway, due to advertising, promotions, and just the name itself. Did the original Bad Company sell even close to MW1? I don't think it did.

I had a rude awakening early this week when I popped the first Project Gotham Racing into my 360. It looks like ass compared to basically everything that has come since (GT5 Prologue, Forza, NFS:whatever, Burnout, etc).
People may not have noticed it, but games like Killzone 2 are bringing graphics that would probably be hard for most of our computers to handle. It's amazing what they are able to do with the (comparatively) old GPU's inside the consoles, and it's also amazing how far we've come since the first games that came out this gen.

I have an issue with this. I loived the first one because of all the light hearted personality of the characters. It was a pretty funny game, that just happened to have alot of shooting. They seem to be trying to make it darker and more serious this time around, in effect reduced it to nothing more than a version of COD that isn't insanely overrated.

I think the video is from some sort of a multiplayer match - notice the "WINNING ?? 98%" title at the top and the possible team member names in the lower left?
I would wager that the personality of the 1st is still in this 2nd one for the single player campaign.

Why do so many game journalists make such a big fucking deal out of cussing?! I mean, your killing people, god forbid you say a 'bad word'!!!! Dear lord NO!!!
Besides, I grew up in a military community and guess what? Soldiers cuss alot on their time off, guess what happens when they get shot at!

Must suck to be part of the "movable vegetation" design team when the other teams get to play around with guns. ;) But looks like they did a good job alright.

This looks awesome. I hope I can use a child option or something to mute all the swearing.
Its something I can't stand in shooter games. Sure in real life they may swear like crazy but in games I always feel like they're trying too hard

his point isn't that they're cussing, he just thinks it's a little forced.
Sure, if you GET shot, you're gonna cuss. But most recruits are taught to keep a level head and not act a fool. He's a got a point in that regard.
And this is coming from a guy who hated it when bloggers(they are not journalists) would trash Rico for being Rico in KZ, and all the twerps that would make posts like "too much cussing! i'm christian!" on the PS forums.

Just kidding really, your first sentence made it sound like you had a problem with profanity...and your name is rather profane (irony!).
I know you said you don't like the swearing in FPS's because it seems forced, but it was still a little funny.
It's like someone with a name like "GodSaveTheChildren" talking about punching babies. Or me talking about how I go around hugging small woodland creatures.

Wait, are you saying that you find swearing more immersion-breaking than muted audio-holes in conversation?
You know real people swear all the fuckin time. It's REAL, BITCH

Annoying rocket launchers. There I was, all happy to survive the cloaked, rushing troopers... BOOM ROCKET TO THE FACE.
Not as bad as COD4's Pripyat level on veteran, but still...

you are an idiot. That was from a multiplayer match. There was no cgi in there at all. If you had played the first one you would recognize the similar movement and MP gameplay. It only looks slightly better than the first one too.
