There's one major thing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 possesses that its insanely hyped competitors lack: A liberal dose of good old fashioned profanity. Of course, we haven't played said competitors, but we can't imagine another game's characters drop bombs of the "S" and "F" varieties as freely as those seen in the trailer above. Well, except for the two agents in House of the Dead: Overkill, but that's a special, special exception.
Fortunately, it looks like there's some solid action in there to accompany all the dirty words. Check out the trailer for an uncut, uncensored and unsuitable for work gameplay chunk from a multiplayer match in BBC2. The game, that is -- not the brainy British television channel.

Actually, I have always found Battlefield online matches to be full of 'perfect' moments (like RPG-ing a jeep as it comes down the road to run me over and the exploding wreckage flips over my head).
Since it's a trailer, I'm sure it WAS scripted, but it was definitely in-engine footage (probably PC and not console), I'm not sure which part of it you think is CGI...

Looks GREAT. I'm really excited for this, I think it is is going to kick way more ass than people expect. I think it took DICE two or three games off the Battlefield series originally on PC before they really 'perfected' it and hit their stride. It is going to be the same on consoles - Modern Combat, Bad Company, 1943 all were very fun games, maybe not great, but with minor flaws. BF2 is going to blow them out of the water.
Hell, there is a good chance it is going to blow a lot of competitor games away too. As good as MW2 is going to be, infantry combat has a certain upper bound to it. Eventually you want a REAL battle simulation with armor, air, artillery, (naval? anyone know?), you know, the whole nine yards.

my 8 years in the Air Force was almost all F bombs from the guys I worked with.. cussing is part of being a soldier.. from my experience.. hell 1 guy I knew dropped an F bomb every other word.. Hilarious..

Better than Modern Warfare 2 for ME. If only because of the massive maps and all the different vehicle types at your disposal. I also like the flow and pacing of the combat a bit better than COD multiplayer. Both great franchises but also very different experiences. COD is mostly infantry combat where BF has that and vehicle combat. Between the two previous games (MW 1 & BF BC 1) I liked BF better. It could be different or the same this time around. Have to wait and see. I love me some BF 1943.

I definitely preferred Bad Company over CoD 4 as well, i just hope they fix some of the hit detection and balancing problems. Just like in 1943, there would be dozens of times where you turn a corner and come point blank with a guy, unload your m249, have him take NO damage, and then watch him aim away from you and kill you in one shot. That and splash damage from vehicles, bombs and explosives needs to be fixed, that is, added in at all

Man I loved Bad Company, I'm hyped up for this one. I don't think it'll tear me away from MW2, but it's definitely a great change of pace and lots of fun to play. I'm all about clans and doing matches and stuff, but BC is one of those games to me that you forget about that competitive stuff and you just have a blast playing.

Wow, that got me revved. Looks and sounds great! I still haven't even finished the first one and I'm no where near the end. I'm still around the beginning, actually. Lol. I was a late purchaser. Got it for about $9.99 brand new at either Best Buy or Circuit City, some time last year.

i think it's just you. Killzone was a much smaller map and quicker action based game, not to mention extremely dark and gritty while this is almost perpetually bright and sunny. Even that, the basic gunplay and animations dont really look like KZ at all
