Wentworth Miller to play Chris Redfield in 'Resident Evil: Afterlife'

If your world is feeling just a little more mediocre than usual, you're not imagining it: Screen Gems (via ComingSoon.net) has announced that filming has started on Resident Evil: Afterlife. And the whole thing's being done in 3D, which is especially impressive considering it's sure to be filled with completely one-dimensional characters.

As part of their masochistic effort to turn the film franchise into some sort of perverse clown car, crammed with sub-par performers, producers have stuffed in Chris Redfield. He'll be played by Wentworth Miller, fresh from his turn as an awful douchebag on Law and Order: SVU. We guess it's not the worst choice in the world -- with a name like "Wentworth," dude can probably throw a mean punch.

This guy is not only TARNISH the name Chris Redfield but he also looks NOTHING like him, except the fact that they are both white and speak English. I am VERY PISSED that they took my favorite character and gave it to some cracker ass reject of an actor to play it.

Everyone always gives these movies hell, I can see why for sure, but at the same time I own them all on BD and enjoy all of them for what they are: Eyecandy. Milla is awesome I like all her work, its just somethink pretty to look at. I definately agree that the series needs a reboot and I heard they are gon start with the same plot as the original RE movie.
Also.. is Wentworth still gon play Jack Ryan in the BioShock movie?

I have very low expectations for the Bioshock movie. Why? They'll ruin the Little Sisters, if they even include them, and there will be only one Big Daddy. It's gonna suck, I'm telling you. This is what they do.

Wow I mean I personally would have chosen the costar of wentworth from prison break that suppose to play his brother since that guys pretty well built. Yeah but All this on actors and all but if they ever make a film with Leon S. Kenndy who would they chose as an actor? I personally don't want to see Leon destroyed by the gay ass RE movies made by anderson.
I would say Resident Evil:Degeneration was the best RE movie so far as it took place in the games story line a year after RE4 and I would think a year or two before RE5. That film even though it some consider it kind of mediocre was the one I enjoyed most of all.

But more annoyingly is that Paul Andersons whore gets another staring role and he writes the actual RE characters as background for her flatchested shenanigans. No thanks. I'll just go watch Degeneration again i guess.
