In progress: List of shuttered Game Crazy locations; MW2 Prestige pre-order, general pre-order, credits details

For a couple days now, we've been attempting to obtain an official list of the 200+ Game Crazy locations closing down this month. As we continue requesting that list from Game Crazy corporate, we're going to try and organize a list from you fine folks out there. Many have already been sending us locations that are closing and we appreciate it. We're going to try and make the process a tiny bit more streamlined:

1. Go to the Game Crazy store locator. Find the store you know (not think) is closing.
2. Copy the store's address as listed. (example: 7841 MALL RD, FLORENCE, KY 41042)
3. Send it to our tips line with the subject "Game Crazy list" (using hyperlink will autofill).

We'll begin organizing a list and post it after the break as soon as we can.

--Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition Pre-Orders

Starting Wednesday, September 30th the merchandising department will be reactivating the Call of Duty-Prestige Edition for pre-orders in all non-liquidation game Crazy stores. This title has been reactivated to take care of the current Game Crazy pre-order customers that were displaced by the closing of the store that they had their pre-order in. This title will be available to pre-order at Game Crazy and Hollywood Video stores until Sunday, October 11th.

--Game Pre-Orders at Hollywood Video

Starting Wednesday, September 30th customers can pre-order games at Hollywood Video as long as their pre-order deposit is PAID IN FULL.

--Deposits, Trade Credits at Closing Game Crazy store

Our Call Center will be sending out automated calls to all customers at each closing Game Crazy store that have deposits or trade credits on their account. The deposit amounts include general cash deposits, pre-order deposits, and special order deposits. Tech support is not able to automatically transfer trade credit or deposits from one store to another.

The customer must come into the store in order to get their store credit or deposit placed onto a gift card. We msut round up the trade credit and/or deposit amount to the next highest dollar amount. If the customer has $7.01 on their account, we must round this amount up to $8.00 and place that on their gift card. Once the customer has this gift card, they can utilize it at any Game Crazy or Hollywood Video store of their choosing.

Customers that are unable to go direct to a store in order to transfer their balance onto a gift card may call our Call Center at 1-877-244-6684 in order to have their trade credit or cash deposit transferred to a sister Game Crazy store. The Call Center will be supporting customers 7 days a week, 8 am to 8 pm PT.
