The Resident Evil: Alternative Edition trailer

The awkwardly named Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition is the forthcoming motion control-enabled update of RE5, complete with PS3 waggle and a new flashback mission starring Jill Valentine set in the Spencer Mansion. While the new content may find its way to the Xbox 360 in a "different format," you can assume the motion controls will be a PS3-exclusive.
However, since the above trailer doesn't say anything about motion controls and instead focuses on the setting (remember that fight?), Xbox 360 owners can just pretend it's for them as well.

The game is the one that isn't interesting.
I would rather pay for a version of Resident Evil 4 using the Resident Evil 5 engine and motion controllers.

time, money, etc...

Well thye probably will, think about it yeah, Chris has never seen the Majinis and he's only heard of Los Illuminados (and he says the Majinis are not like any "zombies" he's seen before) so they won't have fast enemies in this version I don't think. I think it'll be zombies again.

Wow, the new content actually looks pretty awesome.
But I don't understand.. this can't be the Spencer Estate because it was blown to fuck at the end of RE.. and so was the rest of Raccoon City in RE3..
If this is the Spencer mansion.. when the hell does this take place?

It's Ozwell's retirement castle, a location previously non-existing until RE5....

Spencer is living in it, so it's the Spencer Estate? The guy was supposed to be eccentric anyway. Remember the main room in the Mansion in Code Veronica was a recreation of the original too. Or was it the original? Or is this one the original? We may find out by forking over more money to Capcom, and that's all that really matters here.

I was really hoping they were going to do that for RE4 (went it went to wii), but that didn't happen.

I'm getting this, regardless. It will make amends for my trading in the first RE5. I'm not a big trade-in person when I finish a game but that game had me unexpectedly HOOKED and I just wanted to keep it in my library however, I was short on bread and wanted Madden 10 so a few games got traded in, mostly games I didn't care for, except RE5. It was a heart wrenching decision that I still regret but I look forward to the extras in this one...except the waggle.

I can see this as being a 5 - 6 hour DLC priced at around 1400 to 1600ms points for the 360.
