Say it with us, friends, in a high-pitched, sing-song voice: Queen is coming to Rock Band! A rumor we heard in late August claiming Harmonix is planning to bring a slew of Freddie Mercury-voiced tunes to its rhythm platform is true. In the last week of October, the Music Store will be visited by the following tracks:

No Bohemian Rhapsody? What is this? I don't even...

Bohemian Rhapsody is like 75% piano and vocals. That does not really lend itself to Rock Band. Unless they pull a Guitar Hero and have you play all the piano notes on the guitar.

It doesn't matter. Whether you were there for Bohemian Rhapsody, or if you just watched Wayne's World, it is ESSENTIAL.

It'll be available for Piano Hero along with great songs like Great Balls of Fire and Moonlight Sonata.

Nice! Now all I need is U2. There are a ridiculous amount of tracks from their career that would be epic in this game.

Hold me, Kiss me, Thrill me, Kill me
Where the Streets Have No Name
Vertigo
That would be an awesome U2 pack right there that would work for all parts in RB and fit in perfectly. Even though I would secretly really want to sing With or Without You alone in my basement...

I'm not listing my favourite U2 songs, just the ones I think would work really well in RB. Vertigo would be fun to play on any instrument.
They have a massive library to choose from. Actually, now that I think about it more, it would be pretty sweet to be singing out "Sunday, Bloody Sunday!" on the mic with those drums going.

Oh we have another moron judging them on one of their latest efforts. Grow some taste and get a brain.

Actually, I think No Line on the Horizon was a fantastically rockin' album. I could see I'll Go Crazy or Breathe in Rock Band (Breathe is so good live, it really has a great punch to it). How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb... meh. The Fly from Achtung Baby would be AMAZING and so would Mysterious Ways. A Rock Band U2 pack would just be fantastic.

We wonder if they'll be available as a collection called "All The Good Ones Except for Bohemian Rhapsody."
Aha, nice one :P I think that that song will be saved for another pack, Queen still have a lot of good songs that weren't included!
Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, You're My Best Friend, It's A Hard Life... They have so many great songs :')

We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions are both going to be in Lego Rock Band which should able to put those songs onto RB2.

We Are the Champions is in Lego: Rock Band, along with We Will Rock You.
And expect Bohemian Rhapsody (with Harmonies) in Rock Band 3. That seems most likely.

Yeah, but Singstar expansions suck. Its a separate disc, when they could just have easily offered this stuff on the SingStore and I could use one disc to play all the SingStar music I have. It just makes Sony look money hungry at the cost of useability. Kinda sad actually.

Uhhh. I have 19 Queen songs on my Singstar - all downloaded from the Singstore - and a few more I haven't gotten yet. I'm guessing it's a difference between US and EU rights of distribution? Because they sure are available here in Europe.

I think they could always do it the way Neversoft did Sympathy for the Devil on GH5. Just play the piano on the guitar until the Guitar Solo. I know it's not "correct", but neither company has been completely "correct" with their charting (I could point out dozens of examples for both GH and RB, but I'm not going to bother)
