Level 5 would consider new Dark Cloud if community shows interest

Level 5's Yoshiaki Kusada recently spoke with Kotaku at the Tokyo Game Show about whether the developer was working on a new installment in its debut franchise, Dark Cloud. "At this moment we don't have a specific plan for a sequel in the Dark Cloud series," Kusada explained, but later added, "there are some who decided to join Level 5 because they love the Dark Cloud series. So, if requests from users should increase in the future, we would seriously consider making it."

Level 5, please consider this our humble request: Please, please, please make Dark Cloud 3. Would it help if we went ahead and reviewed it? Fine, here we go: "Dark Cloud 3 is the greatest game ever created by anyone in the entire universe. Everyone should own it. In fact, failure to own it should be considered irresponsible. Its purchase should be federally mandated. If we did numerical scores, we'd give it a 68,439 out of 3."

Dark Cloud on 360 would be amazing, however if you make one on ps3 I will still probably buy it xD. I loved the first two and it would be great to see a newer one released. You could always try the square-enix tactic of re releasing an enhanced version of the original game... then if that sells well make a third or remake the second.

It is unlikely to not be a ps3 title. It is likely to be on ps3 even if it makes its way to 360 because microsoft probably is forced to pay for development just for the right to have it. I doubt they will care enough though. I sure don't.

Eh, its one of those games that are amazing, but are improperly advertised (I.E. none, kinda like Psychonauts).

The first one, essentially, is part simulator, part action rpg with weapons that break, part evolving, and part QTE. The game reserves the QTEs for major things, the simulator comes from the fact that as you rebuild, people will have specific preferences that are a bloody good thing to get right and you also have to make sure you are hydrated, action rpg comes from the fighting system with weapons that WILL break with use, and evolving comes from the weapons as well, as they can turn into newer ones through different ways.

The second one is the same way, though it adds a mech and camera system into the mix. The camera allows you to come up with "inventions" which range from various things from simple fish tanks to a large missile pod for your mech. the mech runs on fuel, which you have to find/buy, can be outfitted with different weaponry, and is generally reserved for dire situations and some fights. It adds ranged weaponry to the mix, as well as a "recruitment" system close to what Skies of Arcadia or Suikoden had, where different characters allowed for different things.
Also, it has golf in it.

Don't worry though, as I said, it wasn't the most well-known game on the PS2, similar to how Zone of the Enders was treated, but its a solid game, that should be released onto the PSN store, cause I'm betting the game is pretty hard to find now.
