Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is celebrating Rocktober

In the spirit of a musical appreciation spawned by Brütal Legend (then swiftly trademarked by Activision), we've decided to observe Rocktober in our own special way: By listening to nothing but the heaviest, most hardcore rock music on the planet for the next 30 days. We're talking that heavy metal, friends. We're talking Phil Collins. A little Fleetwood Mac. Perhaps, on warmer days, a touch of Buffett.

Below are our seven favorite rockin' webcomics from this past week. Check them out, then vote for your favorite after the jump. Dipswitch was best. A weak week otherwise (mostly too obscure, except for 2P Start, who should have taken that joke in a different direction, imo)

Unfortunately, I like GU, +1, and Virtual Shackles this week.

As is my habit in these situations, I roll a die to decide, and gain initiative.

...... Virtual Shackles it is! And I score a critical.

I don't see a reason to give Justin flak over his picks each week. Even if I don't always agree with him, I'm glad he provides a basic filter. Without that (if this were literally just a list of the top 10 most popular video game topical webcomics) we'd never see anything new like virtual shackles was a few months back or GU is now. (they just wouldn't get the exposure otherwise)

We need a 'no' option. No to all.

A 2P Start... that's actually good? Wow, cool. I always want to like them, but they're just never that funny. I appreciated this one though. Penny Arcade was one of the worst this week.

GUComics reminded me of Crank.

Thought 2P Start's comic got my vote, though.
Although I expected the IGN logo to mess up the box art in 2P Start's comic.
