Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is celebrating Rocktober

Below are our seven favorite rockin' webcomics from this past week. Check them out, then vote for your favorite after the jump. While you're down there, make sure tell us what strips we may have missed out on in the comments section. You could also leave a comment telling us your favorite Phil Collins song -- but we already know the answer is, of course, "Sussidio."

Gotta go with PA... Gotta admit, Aion looks pretty sexy
Gavin @ Oct 4th 2009 12:54AM
was surprised: I agree! PA was actually the funniest strip this week :)
BlackDove @ Oct 4th 2009 4:56AM
I had to go with PA because of Salad Fingers.
Ghen @ Oct 4th 2009 7:34AM
salad fingers :)

Rocktober? I Think Not!
There's only one Tucktober!
Freakwincy42 @ Oct 4th 2009 12:21AM
Half- Tucktober. upvoted anyway, 'cuz i'm drunk, and it was clever.
Viking @ Oct 4th 2009 12:27AM
Actually, if remember correctly, Uncharted 1 is the half-tuck.
Uncharted 2 revolutionizes with it's three-quarters tuck.
But I would still agree on it's Tucktober.
Freakwincy42 @ Oct 4th 2009 12:35AM
Uncharted 3 will bring forth some sort of tuck-fraction that makes your brain melt trying to contemplate it.
Tom Kalinske, CEO. @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:14PM
Favorite Phil Collins song(s)?
The full version of "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight", and "I Don't Care Anymore"
Chief Oddball @ Oct 4th 2009 1:03AM
"Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" album cut seconded, for the absolute win. Takes me back to 1986 and Michelob radio spots.
343 Guilty Fart @ Oct 4th 2009 8:00PM
Easy Lover
bongoes the Black Lantern @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:18PM
2P Start was my favorite. Not a great week, most of them weren't that funny to me.
bongoes the Black Lantern @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:22PM
After reading 2P Start again I noticed the IGN watermark. Nice touch.
ZaxCG2 @ Oct 4th 2009 1:04AM
Voted for them as well. They pay teriffic attention to detail. Things like making a new title card for their front page and a different logo at the top of their screen for each comic, for instance. Does anyone listen to their podcast? I'm tempted... though I'm already having trouble keeping up with GoNintendo.
CKCheeseboy @ Oct 4th 2009 3:01PM
Yeah, I listen to them regularly and they're almost always funny (a lot of times they're better than the comic). They're usually around a half hour long with a good number of different segments. The most popular is probably the "Black Doom Award", which (in their words) "goes to a terrible choice made related to video games, in honor of the worst character Sonic Team has ever created.", which is usually the funniest segment. Also, on the technical side, they are always very well edited and have great sound quality, so that's not an issue.
You should just listen to an episode or two to get a feel of whether you like them or not, but I love them.
The Dark Wayne [Planeteer: Power of the Batusi] @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:21PM
Gotta go for virtual shackles, i thought it was pretty great. Although i will shamefully admit to...similar behavior as in Penny Arcade
Markez @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:33PM
The dog looks, uh, mentally handicapped in the panel it's leaping in front of him. Would explain some of his behavior in the game I suppose.
Also, Boo-urns to salivating over vidjagame broads. Well, I suppose when I played FFVII back when it originally released I did enjoy Tifa's humongous fighting abilities HIYOOOOO
Gavin @ Oct 4th 2009 12:56AM
I liked the art more than PA's this week, but the simplicity of PA's joke just hit me a little faster and cleaner. Easily second best, if not a tie :)
gotta give GU some props too, if only for the render quality
Markez @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:24PM
Think I'll have to roll with 2P Start, however I think they could've simply stopped after the 3rd panel. Is the last one a commentary on poor sticker placement, or Play magazine sucking? I don't get it.
I got a lil bit of a chuckle out of the nonsensical sayings of Black in +1, but overall just doesn't do it for me. I thought Penny Arcade was awful, mainly because I think the concept of someone salivating over a computer character so remarkably stupid.
And also THANK YOU for keeping Sidescroller/RobotMartini out of here for once.
bongoes the Black Lantern @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:32PM
I think it's about poor sticker placement.
"And also THANK YOU for keeping Sidescroller/RobotMartini out of here for once."
Agreed. THANK YOU.
R (Planeteers | Power of Penile Pulse) @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:28PM
CAD had the best this week.

Tom Kalinske, CEO. @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:39PM
Nice.
Markez @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:45PM
Awesome, definitely would've voted for that one, but unfortunately for us...

Sly (Now equipped with DS!) @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:51PM
haha, that comic was awesome.
Saihna @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:53PM
That was amazing.
WINterfang @ Oct 3rd 2009 11:04PM
CAD being funny?......WOW.
Robot Overlord @ Oct 3rd 2009 11:24PM
hit and a miss for me.
Courtney @ Oct 4th 2009 12:10AM
That was definitely better than the rest this week, I say we do a write in. I'd say we have...7 votes?
Freakwincy42 @ Oct 4th 2009 12:24AM
throwing my vote in there too. 'cuz that's straight awesome. and all these sucked.
Gavin @ Oct 4th 2009 12:57AM
meh? better than Dipswitch and 2Pstart but...
Trulz @ Oct 4th 2009 2:10AM
Pretty good, I tend to frown on webcomics resorting to meme humor though.
OremLK @ Oct 4th 2009 3:15AM
CAD is always over-long and never funny. Amazingly, this one is actually an exception to the rule, easy joke it may have been.
Ghen @ Oct 4th 2009 7:36AM
That's hilarious! YEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

The Dark Wayne [Planeteer: Power of the Batusi] @ Oct 4th 2009 9:17PM
that was incredible
WINterfang @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:33PM
Kinda of topic but I found this funny picture on the internet.

WINterfang @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:43PM
I voted for Dipship but Penny Arcade was really funny.
Gavin @ Oct 4th 2009 12:59AM
So why'd you vote for Dipswitch :P
Jesus (PSN: Luttdawg) @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:34PM
Plus one for sure.
deanb @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:40PM
I guess dipswitch lost it's humour when it turned out they weren't PS3 ad's.
Monday night crew n Virtual shackles were kinda lame n old.
Sly (Now equipped with DS!) @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:46PM
dipswitch made me laugh pretty hard, which is pretty strange. when the guy in the last panel said "DUDE!", i read it like that one dude from south park (whose name i can never remember...)
Solace @ Oct 3rd 2009 10:54PM
Wow Penny arcade was garbage how the fuck can you vote for that? 2P Start had the best comic this week.
Young_Nastyman @ Oct 3rd 2009 11:06PM
this
WINterfang @ Oct 3rd 2009 11:07PM
Penny Arcade is my favorite :).
MowDownJoe @ Oct 3rd 2009 11:10PM
We'll vote for PA because we're all dirty perverts who'll fap to any image of a girl we see on our computer screen.
Markez @ Oct 3rd 2009 11:13PM
I HEAR THAT, Mow Dowh Joe, whooo eee!!! http://images-2.redbubble.net/img/clothing/bodycolor:creme/size:large/style:mens/view:main/3353156-1-8-bit-girl-with-guitar.jpg oh yeah yeah yeah stroke that guitar mmmm thats right yeeeeeeeeaaaauuuuhhhhhh gurgle
WINterfang @ Oct 3rd 2009 11:16PM
LOL...hot.
Sly (Now equipped with DS!) @ Oct 3rd 2009 11:29PM
OHH YEAH markez i would TAP every single one of those pixels! *cream*
jcd @ Oct 3rd 2009 11:50PM
opinions opinions
2p has never made me even grin. Very boring, predictable 'humor.' I seldom even open their comic before voting. I did open it this once because of your comment solace, and I regret it
Gavin @ Oct 4th 2009 1:03AM
why not vote for it? the joke was simple, well timed, and the art was well rendered. (not as well as VS, but in some ways more effective)
2P takes longer to unfold and is a more convoluted joke. that doesn't make it bad, just not as effective. Totally personal opinion: I don't like reading vertical strips like 2P and Dipswitch. Again, doesn't make them bad, they just aren't as effective timing wise for me.

alienmastermind @ Oct 4th 2009 8:37AM
I daresay, Gavin, that the vertical nature of my comic is what gave the punchline extra surprise last week. But I get that not everyone likes the vertical panels thing.
