You know what more games need to have? A hug button.
This inspiring innovation is introduced in the gameplay demonstration for A Boy and His Blob seen above. Okay, so maybe an "embrace command" wouldn't pan out too well in, oh, say, Gears of War. Perhaps hugs are rarely appropriate in a video game context, requiring the presence of anthropomorphic gobs of slime to be considered acceptable. We don't really care about all that stuff -- all we know is that our hearts have been warmed to a point where eggs could be scrambled on our bare chests.

Wish the music didn't restart every load screen. Kinda annoying. Blob moves too slow and it looks like it could get a bit repetitive. Looks amazing though, and I really want to play it.

The blob was always slow in the original, but he always caught up and you never had to wait for him. If he got too far behind he would just re-spawn close to you, hopefully they keep that play mechanic.
I also hope they fine tune where you can place the blob, and make it so it always catches the jelly-beans. Those are my only complaints about the original, along with the finite amount of jellybeans but they already fixed that.
Game looks great I am excited to play it!

Yeah, I'm not too sure I understand that either... You'd think he'd react more along the lines of, "OH SHI... CROCODILE! RUN MOFO!", or maybe just, "Uh, what? Seriously?".
Either way, the game looks good.

Wasn't a fist bump button good enough for you!?
"Genocide! Sweet bro! Press X!"
Also, what do you need a graphic designer for?

For an iPhone app. I have a few coming out in the next week or two but I have a new project that I don't think is right for my current designer. I'm just looking for some new styles.

Interesting. I'm just a graphic design major, but if you have a professional, I doubt I could live up to that.

So... you get up in the middle of the night and brave the elements, even jumping through tree stumps and all you get from three treasure chests is an alligator? And the kid's happy to see an alligator just chilling up in his tree house. I tell you what i'd be doing. I'd be getting my shotgun and starting a campfire for a midnight alligator-smore snack.

I don't think the blob gave the boy permission to touch him in that manner.

Now that's how you animate a character in a 2D platformer.

well i owned the original for the NES. good to see they kept the, jelly-bean = turn blob into random object, but honestly the original was boring and this one doesn't look any better. :\ i am actually quite shocked they did a remake
