Buckle up for some more GT5 screenshots
28
Hope your chair has a seatbelt. SCEA has released a brand new batch of Gran Turismo 5 screenshots, this time focusing on the world-renowned Ferrari and Lamborghini brands. Considering these cars go for at least $200,000, GT5 will be the closest you'll ever get to ever being inside the cockpit.

Why hello there PS3 fanboys! I would have never guessed that you all would have chosen GT5:P.
Put your bias aside and look closer. They're pretty much the same. Both have their pros and cons. Same with consoles. Peace out.

Love being called a fanboy by someone named "I Are ODST". You said that they both have their pros and cons. How about you pick out some pros for Forza that you see in the pictures? The difference is pretty clear in those pictures. GT5:P has better car models and better lighting. For some reason, Forza's cars all have tinted windows so any cockpit details are gone. The cockpit view itself is worse then GT5:P's.
GTFO of here with that bias BS.

I must say, considering all the news and talk about Forza 3 lately with people saying it's awesome, I fully expected to click on that link and to not be able to tell the difference between the two.
I had no idea how much better GT5:Prologue looks, especially with the car reflections and windows etc.

The colors of the exterior shots seem a bit off on the left side there. The Mini definately looks better with a tag on it. I guess that is the cost of being able to customize color schemes.
The in-cockpit view definately looks better pulled back a bit. I wouldn't dare drive that close to the wheel.

"I could care less about sim racers -- give me Burnout!-- I'm surprised Forza 3 looks that weak against GT5:P from a year and half ago. Granted, this is only visuals and who knows which plays better ."
Its not even about which plays better, because we know what both games play like, its mainly about what gamers want, if you want your own customization (paint jobs etc), you'll pick Forza, if you want your R8 to look as close to real life and as incredible to watch as possible without graffiti all over it, you'll pick GT5.
Then theres the interior custom jobs, and how they effect handling.
Next its the gameplay elements, how long it takes to get a decent car, if its a while, thats good for those who love progression, bad for those who want it off the bat.
The buying and selling of cars Sega GT style, doing up your garage, online play, buying second hand parts and how you use your cash and gain cars, weather effects, rally, nascar and F1 events, the using of the pits, cheating taken out or damages your car are all extras that will determine which game succeeds.

That's a pretty broad generalization dontcha think? There could be some multi-millionaire reading this post right this second and you'd never even know.
Think man, THINK!

Are we sure those aren't renders like the last "screenshots" they provided?

The screenshots are always in game, but they get spruced up a bit after they are taken from the PS3 and put on a PC.
But from what I have read, GT5 will be pretty close to these screens (if you put the resolution to GT5's resolution).

Had Forza 2 on my (now dead) 360 and was utterly underwhelmed by the graphics then. I'd hope F3 was better but it barely looks it.
The difference between the GT5P and F3 screenshots/cars is night and day. Anyone who claims this is only because we are 'fanboys' is a deluded fool. LOOK MAN with your own eyes.
.Car Models are much much better (more realistic and detailed) on GT5
.Lighting (on track and ESP on car) is more natural/beautiful on GT5
.Environments are more naturally coloured and lit on GT5 with less 'jaggy' look
.In Car view is close to PhotoRealâ„¢ on GT5 yet looks like a cartoon on F3
There are quite a few other observations that make GT5 'look' better than F3 but I'll stop there.

Forza what. Look I am not trying to be ignorant but this just blows Forza 3 out of the water in terms of modeling relaism. I have said it before Forza is a great racing game but Gran Tourismo is THE reacing game.
