The ARP (actual retail price) looks like approx £90 (at least for pre-orders), or £140 for the renegade version.

I didn't really want this game, but the songs sound pretty awesome, and after seing some people's hands playing the game, it looks pretty damn fun.

This game could feel like GH1 or RB1 all over again. I love a new learning curve.

(And don't whine Bemani fans, the gameplay is very different from Beatmania(controller especially), and the point is moot anyway, as Bemani doesn't give a shit about anyone outside of japan.)

Neversoft didn't make this game. *headdesk*

Also, if you are going to be ignorant and bash DJs because it's not "a real instrument", then just leave. Much like how Music is art, a DJ puts their own spin (no pun intended) on songs. Creating a wild variety of effects, they can make songs sound completely different. While you may not like DJ's, you can't say it's not music. It is music, no matter how much you dislike the genre.

Has anyone else noticed DJ Hero seems to have an unnaturally large number of caucasian DJs? I did a quick scan of Joystiq headlines on articles tagged "DJ Hero." They mention J.Period, Cut Chemist, Daft Punk, DJ AM, the Scratch Perverts, Z-Trip, DJ Yoda, Eminem, and DJ Shadow, all of whom are caucasian, leaving Jay-Z, Jazzy Jeff, and Grand Master Flash as the only non-caucasian artists mentioned in Joystiq's headlines. Maybe I'm just not "post-racial" enough to not notice things like this, but it seems strange that music originating from the diversity of urban life would be so segregated.

Its well known that Bobby Kotick is an appalling racist, who insists on ridding video gaming of blank people.

He also eats babies.

Might be a purchase. I haven't bought a new music game since GH2.

Am I the only one who thought the headline meant there was going to be some sort of mashup featuring The Final Countdown?

Not my cup of tea. Sounds promising, but not 120€ promising. For that, I can get both Forza AND Brütal Legend. Added bonus: I don't need ANOTHER bulky peripheral to play those.
