Hear the Call of Juarez on the cheap at GameStop
For those who've had trouble hearing the Call of Juarez over the much louder Call of Saving Money, we've got some good news: GameStop has lowered the price of the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood to a paltry $30. For those keeping score, that's $20 off the PC version and a full $30 shot off the PS3 and 360 versions. Not bad for a game hailed by critics as a "gritty, completely entertaining experience."

Ugh... I really want to check this game out... but even at $30 I can't. The small amount of cash I do have is tied up in a select fee games this year :/
Rocky @ Oct 5th 2009 7:39PM
This game is worth the dough. Obviously, it's your money... but if you like a good, story driven FPS, this is a can't miss. That said, the multiplayer, while awesome, isn't very well populated.
Wayne Campbell @ Oct 5th 2009 7:44PM
I can attest to Rocky's statement. It is definitely a fantastic game. I was personally happy paying $60 for it new. So $30 is something you can't pass up. But it's not like I can blame you for wanting to save your money for some of the great games coming out soon.
Bubbameister33 (Confused by Fanboyism) @ Oct 5th 2009 7:58PM
At least rent it.
Mal F4cti0n @ Oct 5th 2009 9:42PM
play the demo and realize the game has very little to offer, and then save your money by not purchasing it.
Courtney @ Oct 6th 2009 2:17AM
I'm with you on the money thing. If this were...June, I'd buy it in a heartbeat at 30 bucks. But Brutal Legend and Borderlands both drop in the next 2 weeks, and they pretty much have my game budget locked in for the next month.
KFelon @ Oct 5th 2009 7:38PM
Not a very good game. I bought it when Amazon had it for $36 and traded it in a few weeks later. I just didn't care for it at all.
Durden @ Oct 5th 2009 7:39PM
I need a second job...
thanks a lot videogames...
Wayne Campbell @ Oct 5th 2009 7:46PM
How do you think I feel? I sell video games. So I'm always wanting something new...
;_;
Phil @ Oct 5th 2009 7:43PM
This is very tempting.
mortegro545 @ Oct 5th 2009 7:47PM
It sounds like a Call of.. Savings!
Wulf @ Oct 5th 2009 8:04PM
Guess I'm going to have to crack the seal on it. I bought over a dozen games at GoGamer's Labour Day Madness sale, including this one for $1.00... Haven't had a chance to get around to any of them.
Cyryus @ Oct 6th 2009 2:09AM
You got the 1st game from GoGamer event for a buck, I did too, too be completely honest the game doesn't hold up very well with it only being 2 years old. The character models and animations are very harsh. On the other hand, the sequel which this price drop is, is absolutely awesome.
Jerk Face @ Oct 5th 2009 8:09PM
Totally fucking worth $30! I was really pleasantly surprised by how good this game was.
Nebenator @ Oct 5th 2009 8:12PM
Good for a Gamestop deal. But I know Amazon can top it ;)
macabrearts @ Oct 5th 2009 8:17PM
is this temporary or is it their new fixed price?
Ben @ Oct 5th 2009 8:46PM
It's quite ironic: it's cheaper for me to buy an American copy of this game and have it shipped over to Australia than it is to actually buy it here...
I've been meaning to pick this up recently but haven't had the time. If Australia got some nice price drops (it varies from retailer to retailer but in general I'm not going to get this game for $34 (Australian) anywhere) I'd pick it up in a jiffy.
Space @ Oct 6th 2009 3:40PM
it's really not bad though when you consider minimum wage is close to $14/hr there and it's only $7.15/hr in the states.
I sold strawberries in brissy and made $25/hr haha I couldn't really complain about the price of goods.
drumwiz86 @ Oct 5th 2009 8:53PM
The call of saving money is the new call of piracy
RKN @ Oct 5th 2009 8:56PM
What, I don't understand?
kentuckyfried @ Oct 5th 2009 8:58PM
I've heard the ps3 is now moddable, but considering i don't have a blu-ray burner, and even less time to screw with this stuff, I'm not even going to bother.
Besides, I don't feel like being a scrub anymore, as long as I'm gainfully employed.
kentuckyfried @ Oct 5th 2009 8:56PM
The game is GREAT.
I'm not sure if they fixed the MP yet though...some of the worst lag I've seen in a game, making it almost unplayable on my end (even worse than MGO or COD).
TreyIM @ Oct 5th 2009 9:00PM
Oh, yea, good news becuz the demo had me really thinking I need this in my library. I'll pick this on Thurs.
videonevin @ Oct 5th 2009 9:09PM
I paid full price for this a week and a half ago, it's a decent game and the multiplayer is fun, only problem is lack of people playing it so it's hard to find ranked games. I was hoping it would drop in price so that more people pick it up and play multi.
754Boy @ Oct 5th 2009 9:22PM
Yeah man, that multiplayer is fun as hell a times.
5-Piece Chicken Dinner @ Oct 5th 2009 10:12PM
I REALLY want to ride a horse through the awesome landscapes in this game, but I'm so broke as a joke right now it's not even funny. I pre-ordered Uncharted 2, but I can't even find scraps of cash for the damn game. Fuck, I think it's time to sell some things QUICK :(
Faceman @ Oct 6th 2009 12:10AM
been wanting to play this too.. but jus borrowing games till COD n then for a good while after.. jus bought a ps3 a few weeks ago.. lookin more forward to red dead redemption tho..
John Master Lee @ Oct 6th 2009 1:20AM
Getting this tomorrow! I l heard great things about this game, but just had to much on my plate to pick it up when it came out.
Young_Nastyman @ Oct 6th 2009 1:43AM
Def gonna pick this up soon
Whitwhit @ Oct 6th 2009 1:57AM
man any got advice about this game
MikeO. @ Oct 6th 2009 11:19AM
I can't help but feel like this is one of those games that leads up to something better in the near future.
I bought Godfather II but I feel like I would have rather held off for Mafia II. Then there's Call of Juarez, and the only thing that kept me from picking it up was knowing that Red Dead Redemption was coming out in the next few months.
I know these games have their own strengths and weaknesses, but with the saturation of high end games on the market, I have to be picky with my choices. Is this game still worth it?
Durr Hurr @ Oct 6th 2009 11:30AM
I just bought it at Amazon for $29.99. Using some trade-in credit I basically got it for free with free shipping. woo!
Vandell [XBL: Keazra] @ Oct 6th 2009 5:30PM
Just get it for five bucks at direct2drive.com :/
abergfeld @ Oct 7th 2009 2:43PM
I just finished this game last night. Voice acting was knida corny; character animations were not the best, but the story was so good and the environments were so unique and extremely well done that it ranks among my all time favorites. Definitely worth the $30.
