You mean Viva Pinata 3, right? That's definitely coming out as a Natal game.

Viva Pinata 2? Um...that's already out. It's called "Trouble in Paradise".

Hopefully Natal will be compatible with PC, 'cause we're all too young and innocent to have AO games on our consoles.

I've never been duck hunting but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that using a laser sight to hunt ducks is stupid. For your consideration:

Most species of duck have an average maximum altitude is 836 meters. Quick conversion and rounding tells us this is 91 yards. According to Crimson Trace, a laser sight manufacturer who uses the most powerful laser diode allowed by US law, in ideal morning sunlight conditions (ducks usually aren't out at night) conditions the laser can be seen for 15 yards. Even if that laser somehow refracted through a cloud and telescopically increased it's distance, it still does nothing for the range of your shotgun. But let's assume for some reason they were closer, in a more accurate representation of a hunting scenario. You would still have to be very good to not only hold the "dot" on the duck in mid-air for a long enough time to get a good shot without a scope, but you would risk scaring the duck, ultra-bright high intensity high-focus lights aren't exactly a predominant fixture in most nature enviroments.

So yeah, stupid argument is stupid, end of story. And don't even start with the "grenade launcher" thing, that's a typical "gamer who doesn't know anything about real weapons" kind of reaction. Real life isn't Halo.

Ugh, this was meant to be a reply to the laser sight on shotgun discussion.

You people act like you've never played Fable before.
What do you think Natal will be used for?
Chopping wood and digging for treasure. Whoopity doo.

"So let me get this straight...you were disappointed in Fable 1.
Then, after being disappointed in Fable you decided it'd be a good idea to buy Fable 2? And now, after being disappointed in not only Fable, but Fable 2 as well, you've come up with the idea that you should consider buying Fable 3?"

Now hold on here. I agree with the person you're chastizing (except for the 'considering Fable 3 portion')... but yeah, and I can explain to you exactly why: Molyneux IS a liar. I hate that someone down-voted the other comment because it's true. Peter M didn't deliver on half the crap he said he was going to do in Fable 1. I played that game, gave it a fair chance and it was such a boring chore that I only finished it to justify buying it.

Then, lo and behold, Fable 2 is announced and my initial reaction is "Hell NO". But then something odd happened: Fable 2 got critically GOOD reviews. Stupid X-play on G4 named it game of the year. The more I read and saw of Fable 2, the more it looked like Peter had fixed the boring crap from Fable 1 and added in some interesting bits. So I took a chance and got Fable 2. I was actually enjoying this game tremendously... until I realized that I wasn't seeing any variations in armor, clothes, weapons, hair, accessories, etc. Then the more and more I kept playing, the more and more I realized how incredibly IRRELEVANT all the side stuff is to the main story. You can chop all the wood all day long, or not chop the wood all day long... either way, your character is still the same. It was pointless except to earn some extra money. Most of the side-stuff is like that... and remember that Molyneux LIES and tells you that these things DO have a implications on your story. That's all that guy ever talks about is about choices and how it impacts how your game...
I say shenanigans. What Lionshead did in Fable is nothing special.
Shit, doesn't the crowd boo if you play Triple H coming down to the ring in Smackdown? Ohhh, so the people in Fable cower in fear if you're "bad". Whoa Peter!! Let's not get too crazy with the immersion! That's some groundbreaking shit, let's not take it too far, we might melt everyone's brains.

No, if you look at Fable as a mediocre hack n slash w/ a few neat RPG elements, then its a decent game. But when you got the devloper promising a bunch of crap that doesn't work, or not even in the game, combined with over-rated reviews... Fable is sorely disappointng.

So yeah, fool me once, shame on Lionshead. Fool me twice, shame on me. I'll admit to that. So now that Molyneux says "natal", my first thought is: What half-assed idea will they half-implement this time?
And, it's one thing if it was just me, but I know a handful of people who feel the same.

Bottom line, it's just overhyped, I have been unreasonably disappointed by the series thus far, and nothing can be said at this point to make me interested again. I only read this article because of the Natal aspect.

That's great and all, but I didn't feel like reading your bullshit essay. Instead, pressing the minus button next to your post seemed like a less time consuming- and more suitable option.

Trouble in Paradise was more or less an expansion, not a full fledged sequel.
Rare have always refered to the new Natal game as Viva Pinata 2, on their Twitter feed.

Wow. Really? I was simply stating my opinion. I don't like the idea of Natal integration. Period. That's not exactly a controversial statement. I wasn't saying it was a bad idea to integrate it. I just personally don't care for the idea of Natal.

Yes, I was disappointed by Fable. It's a good game, but I was hoping it would be better based on the promises Lionhead had made and the way Microsoft had marketed it. I was disappointed by Fable II. It's also a good game, but it didn't make the improvements I hoped it would make. Therefore, I was leaning toward not buying Fable III. And since I don't like the idea of Natal integration, that's more of a reason for me to not buy Fable III.

How can anyone hold that against me?

As for me not buying any of the Fables, here's a link to my gamertag:

http://360voice.gamerdna.com/blog.asp?tag=MADMAN%20Redux

You can obviously see I have played Fable II and actually have purchased all the DLC and have almost all of the achievements. I played through Fable on the original Xbox.

Why did I spend my money on those games if I didn't like them? Obviously, I liked them enough to spend my money on it. In any case, that's my decision to make.

And my expression of my opinion at this point in time is that if Fable III integrates Natal, I'll be less inclined to buy it, and I'm already leaning toward not buying it. Case freakin' closed. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I will be paying attention to further developments, but since I'm really not into the whole Natal thing, it would be stupid for me to purchase what looks to be an expensive piece of hardware just so I can play a game that will likely disappoint me.

Now get off my case. None of you know anything about me, so it's really stupid for you to be so judgmental.

I love it when peter molyneux talks about his games. He has this infectious child like wonder that not only makes you excited about whats to come, but also what will come after it.

PS
You heard it here first, Peter Molyneux leaks new Gears of War 3 weapon, a shotgun/sniper hybrid.
