But...but...I can't put my Saturn titles in there!
Jose @ Oct 5th 2009 2:35PM
In where? WTF are you talking about moron? DC 10th Anniversary was last month, which makes this joke 7 years late in internet time.
We didn't need one nonsensical post from you, let alone two.
Tom Kalinske, CEO. @ Oct 5th 2009 2:37PM
Says the person who wanted a Steam section when he already knew what was coming out...
Jose @ Oct 5th 2009 2:41PM
Yeah, because I wanted that Steam release list for myself... moron.
Tom Kalinske, CEO. @ Oct 5th 2009 2:43PM
Look, they talked about putting your outdates sports titles in there. I have outdated Saturn Sports titles. But, since they're in the old longboxes, they won't fit.
Get it?
Jose @ Oct 5th 2009 2:45PM
More ellipses than elaboration rarely helps to get your point across, but now it makes sense!
dark_inchworm (stronger than never, ever before) @ Oct 5th 2009 2:59PM
Jose, judging by many of your comments, it would seem as though you have an interest in applying for Joystiq's Unnecessarily Douchey Douchebag position. I'm sorry to inform you that we already have many fine candidates vying for and even tied for the position.
Get the fuck out of here.
Jerk Face @ Oct 5th 2009 3:02PM
What in the fuck is happening to Joystiq? Weren't you kids supposed to go back to high school in the fall? It must be all the god damned iPhones.
dark_inchworm (stronger than never, ever before) @ Oct 5th 2009 3:08PM
I don't think you realize that even I crack that joke sometimes. Nice try.
Tom Kalinske, CEO. @ Oct 5th 2009 3:17PM
I don't think he's applying, I think he just took the job.
Any bets on how long before he gets banned? I bet he doesn't last longer than Kodick did.
Duke @ Oct 5th 2009 4:50PM
Hey Jose / inchlongdick, you really don't need to put a signature in your posts.
pibs @ Oct 5th 2009 7:10PM
Can't we all just get along. Not one day can pass without people arguing :/
Can't wait to try out Lucidity this week, seems like a pretty cool game.
Jose @ Oct 5th 2009 2:26PM
Where's the Steam section. We're getting Lucdity on the 7th as well, stiq.
Plus Cities: XL on the 9th, whatever the hell that is.
Fox318 @ Oct 5th 2009 2:28PM
If its not on the Mac most of Joystiq's editors don't care.
Jose @ Oct 5th 2009 2:31PM
Joystiq needs to assimilate BigDownload completely, and give it its own tab at the top of the page. They end up stealing so many stories from BigDownload anyway, and they're already affiliated somehow.
gordo @ Oct 5th 2009 3:37PM
"Somehow" affiliated?!
Did you not see the bright "powered by joystiq" notation above the news?
ytilanigiroon @ Oct 5th 2009 3:42PM
Jose, you might get better results if you drank some water... or ate food after midnight...
Jose @ Oct 5th 2009 3:46PM
Because "Powered by Joystiq" isn't in the least bit vague at all. What about the rest of the site? Joystiq has an entirely different deal going with the formerly fanboy sites than they do with BigDownload, and I'd just like to be clued in as to what the deal entails, and what it doesn't. It is obvious that they ARE affiliated what isn't clear is how.
mynk @ Oct 7th 2009 11:32PM
i dont think this guy has EVER heard of aol blogs.
i bet his mind would blow when you tell him engadget is a sister site.
Phil @ Oct 5th 2009 2:28PM
Coffin.. Love it!
Seriously. Why keep them when you could trade them in for almost 1.50 in credit!?!
ziggen @ Oct 5th 2009 2:28PM
2K needs to fix the frame rate drops before selling this game. The game play is good providing that you adjust some sliders... Other than that its another incomplete broken game with bugs crawling like it was a New York sewer.
Levi @ Oct 5th 2009 10:00PM
sometimes people refer to titles when they talk about them...?
ziggen @ Oct 6th 2009 1:28AM
NBA 2K10
Tom Kalinske, CEO. @ Oct 5th 2009 2:30PM
Can I used this to return my red-ringed 360 to Microsoft?
Tre G @ Oct 5th 2009 2:31PM
Did Sega either confirm or deny the Alpha Protocol delay? I know everyone and their mother pretty much has taken it as fact, but was there official word on it?
Tom Kalinske, CEO. @ Oct 5th 2009 2:34PM
Sega hasn't confirmed it, but Amazon did, which is just as good.
Bill$ @ Oct 5th 2009 6:01PM
man i hate this article/pic so much.. it just made and broke my day all in 1 sec. but i love joystiq. I HATE SEGA. almost release, still no word, still no update on their site. WTF!?
Alton Brown [ XBL: LordToastington] @ Oct 5th 2009 2:31PM
Why the fuck would anyone want a Saw game? The movies were bad enough.
CheeziePotato (PSN: talic10 | XBL: InfiniteMovie) @ Oct 5th 2009 2:56PM
It's probably an Activision game
johnnynumber5 @ Oct 5th 2009 3:04PM
I think it's made by Konami. I'm not really into the Saw movies but I could see it translating itself well to a game with all the puzzles to solve.
Levi @ Oct 5th 2009 10:05PM
lol.. I actually come on to see if anyone is interested but me... Definitely not for $60... but I remember hearing they were going to do a Saw game, and wondering how the hell they were going to throw together an actual game based on it without resulting to a series of trap-oriented minigames. The hands-on sounded interesting, sort of Manhunt-ish... One guy's in a big trap ful of other people in traps, and everyone elses' trap involves trying to kill you to save their lives... hence the eplanation for gameplay.
I'm sure it has a much better chance of getting bad reviews, but I have a quarter of an eye on it until I read that it bombs.
Shagittarius @ Oct 5th 2009 2:35PM
All they had to do was offer a 2k labeled Jock and it woulda been the best pre-order ever.
Jose @ Oct 5th 2009 3:19PM
In all fairness (with the exceptions of FNR4 and Skate) EA has the same deal going with its sports franchise fans.
Dirty @ Oct 5th 2009 7:35PM
The biggest problem with offering a free jock with every pre-order is the inevitability of a bunch of nerds sneaking into the store at night to pour liquid heat on to them.
The Dark Wayne [Planeteer: Power of the Batusi] @ Oct 5th 2009 2:38PM
Very excited for Flashpoint, not enough to buy it mind you, but realistic 1 shot 1 kill, bleed out deaths, bandage and painkillers medics is definitely worth a gamefly
kentuckyfried @ Oct 5th 2009 3:16PM
I'm excited too; picking it up unless the reviews get worse.
The PC version already picked up a 90, the ps3 version a 70, so it's approx. coming in at an 80 I guess.
IceKXG @ Oct 6th 2009 8:35AM
I am still debating whether or not to buy this game. If I do get Flashpoint though, it'll probably be for the PC as I believe it will have a much longer life span than on the 360. The graphics will look better too. Also, it's $20 cheaper on PC.
commen-cents @ Oct 5th 2009 2:41PM
this is a better incentive then what most games give, if i were going to buy a nba game this year this would be something to look at... but basketball isnt really my thing, it all looks the same.
Lunastra78 (PSN: lunastra78) @ Oct 5th 2009 2:42PM
Demon's Souls!
Uh yeah, that is all I have to say...
LokeSTL @ Oct 5th 2009 3:02PM
I'll go ahead and add EFFIN' AYE to that. Can't wait to get mine in the mail tomorrow!!
Blkant @ Oct 5th 2009 3:02PM
About damn time hu? ^_^
Finito @ Oct 5th 2009 10:04PM
I can't believe the scores this game is getting. It's this year's Valkyria Chronicles as a great niche PS3 title. It sucks that I live in Europe and will probably have to pay 75 euro if I want the Deluxe edition...
shane86 @ Oct 6th 2009 12:05AM
@ finito, €55 on axelmusic.com
Professor Lario @ Oct 7th 2009 4:29PM
Yea - where the heck did this game come from!? First I head about it was when it started crawling to the top of metacritic. Leave it to Atlus I guess.
I've read some of the reviews and the game sounds great. Amazingly gamespot's review is very well done.
Silva @ Oct 10th 2009 5:03PM
Seventh'd? Well, if all the replies count as a +1.
I've been waiting for this for months. It was my first ps3 game (already added a couple to the list) and I am far from disappointed. Actually pleasantly surprised. All the words people said, positive or not, I couldn't translate either way until I played it.
Once I did...You know the rest.
CJLopez @ Oct 5th 2009 2:48PM
demons souls is the only way i'm interested in, but given how my lcoal retailer is delaying the last week releases (spyborgs, dead space extraction, valhala knight: eldar saga, ninja gaiden sigma 2) and this month game will be brutal legend, i think i'll grab it when i have extra cash or see it on the discount bin, xD
thesimplicity @ Oct 5th 2009 2:52PM
Tale of Tales' Fatale releases today (October 5th) for PC and Mac, as well.
Mr. Joe @ Oct 5th 2009 2:54PM
demon's souls!
let me have it!
Donald @ Oct 5th 2009 2:54PM
So why did it suddenly change to Alpha Protocol?
bongoes is no longer a Black Lantern. @ Oct 5th 2009 3:07PM
Yeah, what the heck? Though I do think this joke is funnier.
