"I fail on easy with the guitar, while with a controller I can keep pace on hard."

You. Are Doing It. Wrong.

I've stuck with Guitar Hero 2/3 for this very reason.

I love a lot of the songs in Rock Band 2, and the Guitar Hero series has some good music too, but I simply cannot play with the guitar peripheral or the drums.

With the guitar I usually end up reaching for the wrong colored button. With the drums I always get lost in the bass pedal. I end up getting everything else, but then hit the pedal at the wrong time.

I would love to be you. Everything you try evidently (except guitar hero) you are the master of instantly without any practice. That must be an amazing gift.

My friends neighbor who never played a game before was able to do Rock Band on easy without making everyone fail the song. And shes a 47 year old woman.

@Tiptup

I never said I was instantly good at everything. Sorry if you got that impression. I can't survive any of the songs on expert on GH 2/3, and on newer titles I usually get 80%-85% when singing on medium. Not to mention my lack of good hand/eye coordination keeping me from being able to adequately perform in most sports.

@Eh

To each their own. I've known people older and younger than me who can play just fine on it. I also knew a girl who couldn't use the guitar because the button placement apparently made her fingers feel cramped and sore.

I want to pick this up too, but can't do it for $120. I'll wait until Toys R Us stars clearing them out with the first price drop to 30% off.

I'm not really interested in the game itself, but some of those mixes sound interesting. I wonder if they'll be available for download at some point

Dizzee Rascal - "Fix Up, Look Sharp" vs. DJ Shadow - "Organ Donor (Extended Overhaul)"

Wow - I might buy this game just for this guaranteed awesomeness!

There's a Tiesto track, it says.

Does kind of seem like the 'classic hiphop / random pop mashup hero' tracklist though.

when is the hardstyle version coming out? :)

I wasn't terribly interested in this game before, but I'm very surprised by this setlist. It's got a lot of songs I wouldn't have expected to be in this game, even if some of them are re-mixed by DJs or whatever. I'm still not completely sold, but now I'm interested to try it out at a friend's house when they get it.

Hmm. Party Ben thinks the Queen vs. Daft Punk (Another One Bites the Dust versus Da Funk) is a rip of his own mashup. It is uncredited in this list... Hmm.

Jeez. Activision can't learn. I bet they're going to push a million times "WE HAVE X SONGS ON DJ HERO! OMG SO MANY!"

However, that's not true. Every song is used at LEAST 3-4 times and then nearly every band has 3-4 songs on disc. Let me remind you all again what they should do with things like that.

DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT!

Ugh. If I don't like Daft Punk, I'd be buying DJ Hero for NINE DAFT PUNK MIXES! Holy hell. One's fine. Release the rest as a pack for a couple dollars and put OTHER BANDS on the game disc.

This isn't a troll post, I honestly have no clue:

Do a lot of techno/trance/whatever-genre-this-is songs have "vs" in their names?

The vs. in the titles mean that they are mashups.

So, Queen - "Another One Bites The Dust" vs. Daft Punk - "Da Funk" means that the two songs are mixed so they are one track.

nope, vs. means the 2 bands fought to the death.

i hope you like this game, we have a lot of dead bands.

i played the demo for this game at the local gamestop....it really had the "wow" factor, like the first time playing Guitar Hero years ago, but the demo tracks were god awful and the announced track list at the time was sh1tty. I was looking for something with more classic hip hop. Well, activision came through with some gems on the full track list. Im impressed, and to reiterate, the gameplay with the turntable is very cool.

So, not exactly big on dance music is it? (There's Daft Punk and... yeah, Daft Punk. Okay, the odd other track here and there.)

Yay for Public Enemy and all, but in general the tracklist doesn't interest me. Of course other people are welcome to like it, and one plus point - it's infinitely better than all the damn guitar games...

Have we all forgotten the Activision Boycott? Looks like it. :P

Nevertheless, I'll probably buy it in the future, but not the near future. It looks to have a good setlist, solid gameplay - I'm glad Acti didn't hand this one to Neversoft.

Please God, let them not whore this franchise to a bloody pulp.

Wow. No Zombie Nation, Hybrid, UNKLE, Simian Mobile Disco, Moderat, Modselektor, Royksopp, Danger Mouse, DJ Signify w/ Aesop Rock or even Amon Tobin? I think I saw someone also mention the lack of RJD2. The DJ Shadow songs they have are all odd choices
